I saw this deal someone posted month ago: hotukdeals.com/dea…586

I have found this new deal on Carphone warehouse website

NO UP FRONT COST (£9.99 on the other deal)
20gb DATA (15gb on the other deal) for £20
ONE month Rolling contract
NOT EE but ID Network (idmobile.co.uk/)
POSSIBLE CASHBACK - £25 QUIDCO

Only thing I see that concerns me is the network is ID which is Carphone warehouse own network not having had any experience with them before and they seem very new: idmobile.co.uk/

So cancel as soon as you get it same as the other deal I'm assuming to get the device for £20!

Support for UK LTE bands 3 and 7 but not 20.

Well it's one month rolling so maybe cancel straight away and see out the one month for £20 20gb data.

speeds are dependant on your area. where I am the 3 signal is very good and get 4G at 35mb
Sounds great

not bad anything is better than 3mb I'm getting with Three on the old Huawei Mifi 3g one
When does the sim / contract activate?

Can you defer activation for a later date?

I guess you have to wait until the sim is activated to give your notice for cancelation?
Carphone warehouse site is running extremely slow. Might be related to the 4 million records of personal data stolen from TalkTalk (affiliated group).

Also, why do they need to mandate providing a landline?? Not happy how these companies collate personal data without any due justification.

Good luck to those wanting and able to get this deal.
Is the device unlocked? I mean after cancelling the rolling contract with ID should this work with any other Netwrok SIM?
Quidco shows £25 tracked for me after purchase
this good enough to run a now TV box or PlayStation online gaming???...I currently only have ee 4g WiFi £20 for 4gb

Well seaniboy just showed you one answer to get more for your £20? But seems you want others to check coverage in your area because your to lazy to find out if 3 network is better than EE in your area?

Anyone know the exact model? I'm interested to know
1/ If it's unlocked or cheaply unlockable, and
2/ Whether it "stays alive" indefinitely if connected to a power source (like the Osprey 1) or shuts itself off when not used for a time (like the Osprey 2).
No discription about the device model number ..etc on the website. Can we use this with other network sim ?

I think it's probably a Huawei E5573 with support for bands 3 and 7 but no band 20. I'm guessing it'll be locked to the 3 network.

Picked one up the other day. Great little device and comes unlocked. Using a T-Mobile pay as you go sim with a £20 six month booster and getting pretty fast internet on 3g.

Does have a power saving feature but I think this only kicks in after 10 mins of no activity and while on battery. I leave mine plugged in and it seems to remain awake for whenever I need it.

Just need to phone up and cancel with ID. Went through quidco which tracked at £25 but doubt I'll get that or anything especially if I cancel. Wondering if I should just use it for one month and then give my months notice to stand a better chance of getting quidco...
I would recommend using an LTE antenna with this. Less than £10 on eBay. Eg. LTE Antenna
Oh btw you can set this up to be used as a wifi repeater too
Thanks OP, I have ordered
Something you might want to consider, I live in london (about 5 miles away from the Olympic park), I get between 40-90 mbps on EE and on iD I get on average 5 (five) mbps both are conned by 4g.

Something to consider.

Basically it's a portable modem and WiFi router in one. the sim card inside provide internet over mobile signal.

So you can take it with you and connect up to 5-10 wireless devices to it. Phone, tablet e.g.

I have been using one at my business for 4 years because i refuse to pay there ridiculous £20 month for 1gb on site internet! plus they won't let you changer providers...but with MiFi it's made it so much easier. £10 month for 15gb with Three.

Also you don't have to cancel if you like the service then £20 for 20gb is pretty good in my eyes so stick with it, it's a rolling contract so if you want to change after 2-3 months then just cancel and keep the Mifi device and unlock it and stick any sim inside.

Thank you. Could I also ask, I know the MiFi is 4G but does this mean that a device connected to it must also be 4G to have 4G speeds? Hope that makes sense!

I think I know what your asking.....

Yes the device has to be 4G/LTE capable to connect to it if you want 4G speeds, but it also does 3G so if you have like a iPhone 4 which is just 3G it will work fine but also will work with say iPhone6 which has 4G capability as well as 3G.

hope that made sense X)
