Found in Tesco Hindley (Wigan), no idea if national but cheapest I've seen and good reviews for a budget Android smartphone.

just bought one for £65, despite the fact I only bought £15 of groceries
- moody

got shower gel and scanned it first then the phone and it went through at £65 for the phone.
- cagedsteel

In store price is £80, but got the extra £15 off after spending just £4 on groceries.
- Russarch

Or spend £0.50 or £1.00
Phone price = £65
Just make sure to put other item through first as stated earlier
- greedyguts

Also got one for £65 after buying 96p of groceries!

Given the specs probably £200 minimum. I don't think it's meant to replace the G300, it's just a higher end model.

Tesco in wigston, Leicester have them in store at this price as well, they did at 14.00 today anyway!

"Don't expect huge changes to Huawei's G300 design blueprint -- the G330 looks to be similarly curvaceous, with the same silver accents. "

what? it looks nothing like a G300, looks more like an iphone or samsung or something. the g300 looks better imho, but of course, dual core at around same price would be no-brainer... if it is around same price. personally i find the G300 plenty fast enough for most uses.

G300 is a decent phone (i own one its my main phone) but the difference is light and day when you use a dual core phone. the ICS experience is so much better.

The specs look about the same as the Acer Liquid Galland if it's going to compete it will have to be priced around £150.

Is this phone available on any other networks yet?

Really really really want this phone and at £80 this is an amazing deal!!! Awesome phone!!! Need to check Tesco Burseldon to see if they have any there Thanks OP

You can still exchange clubcard vouchers for double their value tokens to be used in store against phones, ends September 4th.

Is it a minimum of £5 to double up?

Perhaps just Wigan store as £100 on Tesco.com

Sorry, this product is currently unavailable.

Hotttt

Just popped in to my local Tesco to check the price- ticketed on the shelf at £99.97 but coming up on the system at £80, suggesting it probably is nationwide. Annoyingly this time of night they couldn't sell it because "its in a locked cupboard". Well done Tesco.

But thanks OP, heat added!

What are you talking about, Galant is not dual core, while G330 is.

Where did you get the UK ICS update from please?

There is no UK ICS yet. There is just an international version, which might invalidate your warranty with Vodaf. I would wait a few weeks.

Picked up one earlier in cookstown N.Ireland. Didn't have to buy a top up, though not sure if that was just because their top -up system wasn't working (I was told).

Anyone know why is this not available on other networks yet? I thought the Vodafone exclusive had finished

Great value phone at £100 so brilliant price at this, be warned though it has a fairly asthmatic ring volume. If like me you spent a lot of time in a noisy environment then the available volume setting is totally inadequate, so unless you dont want to miss your calls make sure you work in a library. It is a known issue and a firmware update has been made available to try and address this, however in my case it doesent appear to have helped.

I had a iPhone 3GS - and the G300 toasts it in almost every respect. Apart from the different OS, you'll probably find the camera isn't quite as good and the build quality not quite as polished but otherwise be pleasantly surprised. It is also light and day ahead of the Orange San Francisco - the previous must have cheapy buy.

I loved my iPhone but they don't represent very good value when set against some of these £100 Androids.

Have you unlocked it yourself?

Can you say how if so please?

eBay. I used 'specialize' - easy, and effective. He's put his price up from around £5 to nearly £9, though - there are much cheaper sellers now.

Likewise - the software update made no difference at all to the ringtone volume.

The Zedge app may help find a particularly loud and insistent tone.

I bought one for my Mother when it first came out and she's really happy with it. Now you can get them at £80, it's a no-brainer

This one has ICS. The g300 was promised ICS this summer but no sign yet. Hope this isn't their approach to that by bringing out a new phone.
