Got these for the kids, perfect for them really. No major cost if they break them and seem to do the job perfectly.

I can recommend this, my first smartphone I am only just beginning to think I need a more expensive and "sophisticated" phone that's faster etc. One of these in a 2 quid "bumper" case with a screen protector on it and you can put it in a spin dryer with a couple of bricks for half an hour and it will still work. Well, perhaps not, but there's no need to worry about it being in a pocket with a bunch of keys or dropping it on a hard surface etc.

Is it in store deal?

Bit dated and slow but worth it as a cheap phone. If these go oos you can get them un-locked cheaply for £1.49 on Ebay!

With Carphone Warehouse currently at £34.99 (+ £10 topup) or £24.99 qualifying PAYG upgrade, this is an ok price (unless CPW drop it back to £9.99 upgrade at some point)
Sure it's only got 512MB RAM (but keeps more of it free than my other 512Mb device).
And 4GB ROM (but more of that as app space than my 8Gb device) - really needs a microSD card for storage, otherwise you eat into the app space.
And its only jellybean, not Kitkat.

But it is very smooth for a low cost device.
PS. The "Emotion UI" is not quite stock Android, but better than some awful butchering of it!

I agree with your comments, I got one last week as a Virgin upgrade from CPW before they put the price up knowing it was unlocked and would work with my GiffGaff sim, I was given advice to only link my Google account if I was going to use all of Google's apps and Youtube etc.....silly me thought I'll just link and see ! After 2 days of Google updating all of the crap I would never use and slowing the thing down with everything running I did a reset and declined the Google account this time. I now get 4 days of battery life and no updates.

Funny I did the same. I thought I would use the BT hotspots for internet connection and set up with google account. Like you the phone just strained under the load that google try to install. If it's a phone (or 2nd phone) for calls and texts then this is great. If yer after mobile internet get an iphone! (_;)

have these got wifi and wifi hotspot ability?

Is this only to a specific store or nationwide

A very cheap way of buying an IP cam. Easy to set up and a whole lot cheaper than buying a dedicated camera for security use.

I cant find this deal when I click the link. someone help me

In stock in Sheffield, bought one last week as a tracker for the caravan in case it's stolen.
Seems to work well, usual Android OS.

It's in the pocket of one of the shirts.

Good basic Android phone for the cash that does the job if a tad slowly..I picked one up a while back when they were 60 odd quid from Carphonewarehouse and it's still going great. Have run into space problems when updating all the stock permanent apps and had found the solution was to clear out the all the cached app data in 'storage'..

Picked one up in Milton Keynes yesterday at 25

Got one today at Llandudno (might have been their last)

Found one in Caerphilly store @£25 last night. Thanks OP! purchased as an emergency replacement.

Will this work on 3 network? Thanks

Ok i'll check there again, but i'm pretty sure it was on Vodafone, which is likely to be locked to that network i guess.
Thanks anyway.
