Surely there can't be anyone left who doesn't know that the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is the one to go for - often at little over £10 too. Even Amazon will do it for around £20. Unbeatable!

The only reason to go elsewhere is if you're a fancy brand junkie - and I don't think Huawei will cut it there.

I paid £49.99 on black Friday from Amazon so it's possible they will drop it to that again at some point. I would say it's certainly worth the money if you use it to its potential as I was looking at watches 3 times the price that do similar things before I got this one.
£59.99 in store at EE too
Got one when it was 49.99 bf sales, it's decent overall, the batt defo dies a lot faster if ur using the full sleep monitoring, about a week or so. I lost the little clip that holds the 2 halves of the strap together, contacted huawei and they are saying to send it in for inspection and 'quote' also pay £14 postage, there's 3rd party straps from Germany but they are not the exact same material.
Buy the band 3 if you don't need GPS.

Ignore the comments, it isn't chinese. It is in English as soon as you connect it to the huawei app.
I've got one, highly recommended battery lasts for over a week easily, notifications are great
Strange question but does anyone who owns one know if it is possible to not have the time on the display all the time? I.e. have calorie count or another indicator instead...

I don't wear watches as I feel it makes me check the time... all the time... but I do like the concept of having a fitness tracker. Just don't want the watch function on display all the time.

Hi, where sells this at £10 or similar?.Also, does it notify you of whatsapp and Facebook messenger messages? Thank you
Monitor the Chinese websites like Gearbest (or HUKD!) for the regular lowest price deals or just go to Amazon if you're in a hurry - still cheaper and excellent product. 5 in our household, all happy, charge lasts around 4 weeks. Yes, it notifies you but can't confirm which sites as I don't use that function.

My Fitbit Charge 2 is not playing nicely with Oreo, records cycle route, but not distance! Maybe it's time for a change.

The Huwaei band 3 is close to the mii band 2 in price and features. I wouldn’t say that either is clearly the one to go. They are quite comparable. This one is higher feature and more expensive.

The Band Pro 2 cant be compared to the inferior Mi Band! It is cheap for a reason (decent for a tenner though)
I didn't like the way the strap closes. I prefer a watch style buckle so went for the Garmin Vivosmart instead

Hi funky_sam, I just wondered is it possible to set alarms on the watch? I need ideally 10 alarms that I can set - I am run a football group and need a watch that I can wear that goes off every 5 minutes.

Any help greatly appreciated thank you

I've not got this one but just checked my fitbit charge 2 and my Samsung gear fit 2 and all watch face options include the time. I'm assuming same would be the case on this one. You of course cab have the screen permanently off and only come on when you want to check something.

I hope that helps.

Hi I have the mi band 2 and HRM worked when I got it until connected to the app it updated and hasn't worked since? So that could be a reason? Do you have this problem?

It is worth considering the reviews of the company and possible customs and associated import charges. I think I will hope the prices drop on Amazon or Tesco again.

Hi, I don't use the alarm function on the watch normally but have had a quick play about. You can set 5 alarms at a set time, no timer or countdown function I can see. Also I can't get the band to vibrate when using a separate alarm clock app. There are actually 2 apps, 1 is the 'Huawei wear' app which controls all the settings and functions and the other one, 'fitness' shows HR, steps and sleep.

Thank you for sharing. I like the watch and the price is reasonable.

Hi, I'm assuming you have this? I'm curious wether the nfc works, that would be a major selling point. Otherwise it's the same as the band 2 Pro right (minus the GPS which I don't care about)
I have the band 2 pro and really like it however the only reason for buying one at this price point is for GPS! If you dont need GPS then better options are available.

My reason for buying it would be for swimming. Anyway, about to make the plunge (pun intended) with either the band 2 or 3. (depending wether 3 has nfc)

Could you tell me how usable the band is without being connected to your phone via Bluetooth. Will it still track everything onto my app?

Not having GPS in the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is what gives the Band 2 the massively superior battery life. People talking about a week here, my Mi Band 2 is at 32 days.
Considering the bands are designed to be bluetooth coupled to a phone and the phone already has a GPS means GPS is not great value for £40 extra, Mi band all the way for me.

Sorry I didn't know it was supposed to have NFC, I can't see what it is used for? It's actually called the honor band 3 too. For some reason gearbest have it listed as Huawei (it is made by them of course.)

But yes it is the same, my friend has the 2 pro and we have compared them. It just doesn't have GPS. However if you have your phone with you then it will use your phone's GPS.

Mi band 2 is only ip67 splash resistant.

Band 3/2 pro is 50 metre waterproof, you can use it for swimming or leave it on in the shower etc. Hence I never have to take mine off.

Band 2 Pro will last weeks with continuous heart rate monitoring off. Built in GPS means you dont have to take your mobile with you which is great benefit for many people for example i track distance when i play football. It also measures VO2 max, advanced sleep tracking and is waterproof. You just dont get these features on cheaper devices. The software is decent too with regular updates. People forget you are also paying more money for decent usable apps.

Yes all activity such as steps/distance/heart rate/sleep is tracked on the device. You dont have to have your phone with you to use but when your phones bluetooth is on it will then sync with app.

Why does anyone need GPS on the fitness band. You have it on your phone ( which you would be carrying with you anyway ).
These bands are only as good as the apps available for them . The Xiaomi MiBand 2 is very well supported with a lot of different apps supporting it as well as the official app.

What if you going for jogging and you don't want to carrying your phone with you? That is my case. And what about battery consumption on your phone when you connect fit band to it? Is it higher or not?

You do understand it isn't a constant heart rate readout, don't you? You select an instant reading when you want one.
Also found the huawei band 3 (honor) on amazon Germany.

43euro for orange, and 55 for black. Keep in mind, bands are not interchangeable.

It measures VO2 max... wow, that is impressive. How does it measure breathing rate and volume, plus oxygen and carbon dioxide concentration of inhaled and exhaled air?
