Bring on the wild goose chase comments. But this is a great deal if you can bag one. There was two in the Grimsby store, I only bought one. It wasn't a miss price and labeled up on the shelf at £40.

Not expecting any heat to be honest just hoping someone else maybe able to grab a cracking deal.

Good luck

The Jargon:

Watch what you want, when you want, with the Huawei DN371t YouView set-top box.

Live TV and catch-up TV together with YouView
YouView brings together live and on-demand TV in an effortless, intuitive way. This Huawei YouView set-top box brings you over 70 digital TV and radio stations, including several in High Definition. With the major BBC, ITV and Channel 4 stations all available in stunning HD and without a monthly subscription, YouView makes a tempting choice - and that's before the catch-up TV is taken into account.

Scroll back TV - effortlessly
YouView also offers a comprehensive catch-up, on-demand service. Once connected to your network via Ethernet you can easily access the BBC iPlayer, ITV Player*, 4OD, Demand 5 and more! YouView offers an effortless user experience - simply use the Electronic Programme Guide to 'scroll' back on the last 7 days TV programmes.

Record, pause and rewind live TV
Featuring a built-in 500GB hard drive, it's easy to record, pause and rewind live TV. The high capacity storage holds up to 300 hours of standard TV or 125 hours of HDTV - enough to be able to catch up on all your favourite TV even after a long break away. With the pause and rewind function, interruptions such as the phone going are no longer an issue - simply pause the live TV and resume when you're free again.

Record one programme while watching another
Thanks to having twin tuners, the DN371t lets you watch one programme at the same time as recording another. Alternatively, record two programmes while watching something you recorded earlier.

Save on expensive monthly TV services and watch what you want when you want subscription free, with the Huawei DN371t.

Think this must be national - they had these in Perth store at the weekend for £40, around 6 on the shelf. Heat added OP xxx
Could we just use this to watch HD channel, like the one I got from TalkTalk or we still need to pay for subscription.

I am thinking to buy this for my second TV in another room.

thanks

You can use the old sky adapter, that's the ethernet one, not the later usb one. Anyone out there says it doesn't work you need to try harder because that's what I have on mine. Works a treat as any ethernet wifi adapter will.

These are a fantastic buy at £40 if you can get one. I have the earlier dn370t and it's a good little box of tricks. It's never missed a schedule recording. Youview is a bit slow to populate but that is an issue with Youview and not the box. Humax Youview are the same with being slow.

Note that not all channels or programmes are available as catch up but you get all or most of the players and I find the tuner better than my LG tuner on the tv.

You don't need a talk talk subscription. Had mine since March 2014 when I ditched sky. It's paid for itself nearly 10 times over now.

Some people just expect everything for nothing lol. If it was a tenner they would still say....but it doesn't have wifi. I have the DN370t and it's an amazing little box. Had it for 18 months, not missed a beat. Made mine into a wifi unit for an £8.00 sky adapter off the bay.

Are you able to give a link to the type of adapter you use. Got the box for £40 for parents but their router will be in a different room. Thought about a powerline adapter but if there is a cheaper way.

I use the older version of the sky wifi adapter. The ethernet one, not the latest usb one. Any wifi adaper, gaming adapter, wireless bridge will work.

The sky one is an SC201. Just put SC201 in search on ebay and they will all come up. This is the one that has a little mains transformer to power it.

This one will also work providing you have a powered usb socket close by.

If you want to watch any of the programmes previously shown you need an internet connection. To view the Youview epg / programme guide you do not need an internet connection.

Also if you have an android phone you can download the youview app and then if you are away from home and have internet access on your phone via wifi or 3g you can send a signal to the box to set it to record a programme at a future time. Very handy if you forget. This box is far better than the Goodmans, Bush and other rubbish available at this price.
Got one today in chadderton mancester. couple on shelf priced at £119 but scaned at £40
