Apparently, it can be unlocked for free.

The question is, which ASDA store?

Think you put a data sim in there, in this case a T-Mobile one.

Its a good dongle, but at the time was too new to use as the USB plug in for my wifi router as it was not yet supported.

Used it for over a year, until it fell out my laptop bag.

The newer e3231 is available for a tenner at Currys.

It is reduced to clear as it is an old line.

Forgot to add that it is nationwide (work for Asda)

I believe that this is theoretically 42Mb/s capable, thus (for 3G), is the best available spec. Very good deal if you live somewhere likely to get 4g in about 2025 or don't care about web pages opening 0.05 seconds faster!

I have this, free simple unlock code (huaweiunlockgenerator online) - once unlocked it auto detects my different network sims and sets itself accordingly per network.

Hi gina89

Are you able to check which stores have stock? I went to my local store milton keynes and they said that this item is not available in every store anyway...

Hi,
I've just purchased this exact same one from Asda in Burgh Heath for £5. Reduced to clear stock (red sticker shelf label).
The assistant wasn't too sure if he gave me the right one (i.e. with 90-days use) or not... Any way I can check without actually activating it?

Mine came in a box and an outer sleeve on which it says "Pay up front and get 3 months Mobile broadband and a USB stick" and on the rear of the box (behind the sleeve) another sticker saying "Mobile Broadband for 3 months included"

From memory, as soon as you insert the SIM into dongle and connect the 90 days start counting down. I was never able to register the SIM with Tmobile to top up online, every time I'd activate and sign in it gives a 'sorry this service is temporarily unavailable....." although that didn't stop the SIM working for 3 months.
