£30 quidco

what does this actually do

Original Poster

MiFi is used as a name for wireless routers that act as mobile Wi-Fi hotspots

Are you certain it's not a 30 days trial after which you be tight to a long term contract or have to send it back? or am I digging too deep?

Cheers!

Have gone for one. It all went through and looks legit. That said there's a bit at the end that says you have to show a photo I'd when it's delivered so make sure you change the delivery address if needed.

Hoping that I'll be able to unlock it like you can with all the other huawei mobile devices.

Oh and it says allow 28 days for delivery. I'm assuming because its new or a preorder?

There is an option for a 24 month contract with a 30 day free trial OR a 30 day contract option. The link above takes you to the 30 day contract option. So no long tie in with this option.

This is a brand new device so it is a pre-order at the moment. No charge until dispatch.

Can't see how much data is included.

If you click here

shop.ee.co.uk/hua…fs/

Then click "30 Days 4GEE"

You'll see confirmation of the inclusive data allowance along with other options for increasing the allowance at additional cost.

Thanks.

Not sure what the point of a 4g device and a 3 gig limit is, these caps should be much larger

Well the point of this deal to me is that you're paying £35(if topcashback/quidco tracks) for a £175 4g capable device that can be unlocked and used with any sim.

Completely agree. Why would one get a 4G with such a low data allowance? The point of 4G is the speed... A bit pointless if its gone within 2 hours!!!!

until they sort this data allowance its a waste of time

Gone for it via Quidco - lets hope the £30 comes in - that would be a REAL bargain. Thanks OP

When will people realise this deal is not about data allowance?

Not going to explain it again. If you can't figure it out its your loss.

You're missing out on a cracking deal!

my quidco tracked at £35

bigjt

my quidco tracked at £35

Just got my topcashback notification too. £35.35

Looking good

Ignoring the data, what would people actually do with this, without a sim card (assuming you cancel after the 30 days?)

Option 1 - sell it for £100 or more profit

Option 2 - unlock it and use it with different network with a better data plan.

Personally I'm getting one to unlock so I can take it with me when I go to the states. Planning on getting a US pre paid data sim to put in it.

Are they tricky to unlock?

good question. As they are not out yet, it is possible they can't be unlocked.

The forums at DC unlocker say they have successfully unlocked this modem and have updated their software.

Well you can use it with another network like Three. (After unlocking it)

It is backward compatible with DC-HSDPA (check 3 website). Also 3 are due to launch 4G later this year.

Well imagine the Ferrari can either be filled up at a motorway service station or go to the supermarket petrol station

Does anyone know roughly when this will be delivered? Says 28 days, but i'm hoping it might be sooner.

Is cashback still available on this?

Yes, a friend of mine did it this morning.

Ordered mine on Sunday, just arrived now!

I thought that cashback (via Quidco) would be available but hasn't tracked yet. Quidco still says £30 for 30 Day Dongle/Wifi sim only contracts and I'll be raising a claim tomorrow.

Note that the invoice says that the device cost is £29.99 but I can't confirm yet - my credit card only shows the £2 "test" transaction that they put through and then refund. Could be effectively FREE if my Quidco tracks!

Thats pretty good. I ordered mine on Sunday too about 11:00am Topcashback didn't track for about 12 hours though. Hope my invoice says £29.99 too.

Original Poster

My delivery was attempted today, wasn't in though.

Am I right in thinking that I order this, then the day I receive it give EE 30 days notice to cancel the contract?

Ordered Sunday and still not got mine yet

the EE speed is crap and if you can get 150mbp the 3gb will fly out in now time! useless

jaypr

you sound surprised.

If you click the link its listed clearly its a 'pre-order' and to allow upto 28 days for delivery.
