Or not - mine didn't and you can't raise the missing cashback query for three days. Apparently EE won't look at the claim for 30 days so for sure the cashback is not assured if you're planning to cancel quickly, and even then it's never assured. I was going to do that myself but we have a couple of weekends away coming up and the hotel broadband is more expensive that the EE monthly charge so might as well use this instead.

You could just cancel your order and then re order...
Try using Internet Explorer, I had several failed trackings using chrome and Firefox the last few mobile contracts I ordered, but has worked very well with Internet Explorer, actually it tracks within 20 mins...
The T-mobile contract I got last month, tracked in 20 mins or so, and they paid the money into my bank on day 18, I was very impressed.

If you already have an EE/T-Mobile/Orange phone or contract you may be able to get this package with the MiFi device free... because I did, last week and am using it now.

I called two weeks ago to inquire about an Orange mobile broadband package two weeks ago on Wed 10 April. The sales bod told me there was a better deal - £15.99 for 3gb data/month on a rolling monthly contract. With a FREE 4g MiFi divice - the Huawei E5776. I was taken aback, I thought there must be some catch, but I couldn't see one, so I ordered it. It arrived one week later, on 17 April. It's the same rolling contract, I can cancel with a month's notice any time, but the device was free.

Either I was particularly jammy to get one before a new offer had been finalised, or it is something they are currently offering to all existing orange clients who call to ask about an Orange mobile broadband package.

If you are an Orange (or EE or T-Mobile) customer, there is no harm trying. I only had a payg phone, with occasional use, and I got it, so give it a try.

P.S. I had nothing in writing or online that says I am only renting the device, so if they tell you otherwise, demand to get it in writing.

No chances for me to get it for free, spent 20 minutes on the phone with no luck, as usual, T-Mobile doesnt care about their existing customers.

Can someone confirm the device do not have to be sent back once I decide to cancel my monthly rolling contract?

EDIT: Just phoned T-Mobile and can confirm, once contract is cancelled (at any point) the device belongs to you and cost you £49.99.

EDIT2: Ok, went through the website ordering proccess, received an info about more info needed from me. I phoned them instead and asked about that, then nice lady just completed the transaction for me asking for...£39.99 Good one. Looking forward to see Quidco statement:)

I've tracked at £35 but on my order it said they would call me but they haven't, should I assume the orders mucked up as I haven't heard from them.

When is everyone cancelling their contract?

I've had the worst experience with ee, as I need a mifi I thought I would buy it in store, first store told it was in stock, went through all details and credit check for then to be told it was not in stock and that I could have a 3G one for same price, I refused to accept then told to check other store for stock, next day went to a few with not stock, until I found one that said it had stock, guy gets the device shows me box, I thought it looked the same, after going throught the same process and credit check, he allows me to check box to see model and I found out he lied to me, it was e586u.

I then decide to do it online and obviously due to 2 credit checks in last 24 hours it got rejected, so annoyed with EE right now.

Still haven't got mine yet. Ordered on the 21st and called them up at the weekend to see what was going on. Now they're saying it may actually take 28 days to arrive although it may be sooner.

Heh, they`ve send me a USB 4G dongle initially, spent 2.5 hr on the phone trying to resolve the problem , and at the end, after over 2hr talking ,waiting and listening their music someone just decided to DISCONNECT me.

So went to one of their branches, asked for E5776 , cancelled my online order over there (over the phone - thanks for the branch manager) and signed up a new , instore. Device itself is quite big, bigger than 3g MiFi i have at home but speed...I managed to reach 34Mbps DL and 16Mbps UL which is an awesome result comparing to the previous, 3g one.

Now i want to sell the device. It will be available here in next few days (already active somewhere else).

Got mine coming tomorrow. What is the best way to unlock it?

I ordered around 22nd, not received a dispatch email as yet.

Well my order arrived today and the fools at EE had sent an E5332 (3G)! Three calls to them later and apparently they are sending an E5776 tomorrow...

I was chasing mine that was "dispatched" last Thursday but is still to turn up.

Apparently the dispatch email I received isn't a dispatch email, but a standard welcome email they send out. I received my order confirmation, same day I ordered then 2 days later, what I thought was a dispatch email as below:

To add further the day I ordered the device EE debited £2 from my Credit Card, then refunded 2 days later the Thursday, when they took the full payment and I received the "dispatch email" so I have paid in full, up front, for something they don't have in stock or know when they will get stock. Not impressed to date.

Got straight through, said I was chasing an order, they just took postcode etc. Then when he found the order, he said it had been dispatched and put me through to, what turn out to be Mobile Broadband Sales/Customer Services to provide tracking details. Glad I was on a 0800 number, took 20 minutes to speak with someone, who then advised it hadn't been shipped as no stock etc.

well surprise surprise nothing has turned up. Called EE again who confirmed it hasn't actually been dispatched and they cannot say when it will be! They are however crediting me with the first 30 days cost for the inconvenience. This could work out to be very cheap!!

To a newcomer sounds a daunting project to get one of these from EE! Wondering if it would be easier to negotiate with someone who bought one to sell?

you cant get rejected for having multiple checks, also they shouldn't have to do a credit check if you already have a contract with them.

Mine finally arrived today but it came with a nano SIM card which doesn't fit in it as it takes a standard sim.

Rang them up and they're sending a standard SIM that'll be here on Tuesday. But do I also need to cancel my contract today or can it wait til Tuesday/Wednesday?

You can on their system, as they only allow 2 authorisations per person(for me it was the case)
