Great looking watch, let down by a few things

It would be helpful to others if you maybe listed those things

I think you get a black strap with this too in the box

Doesn't pick up activity, for example I did an hour of vacuuming, said I was active walking for 1 min.

The steps it picks up on your phone app and watch doesn't sync and there isn't an option to, so your watch steps and phone could be completely different numbers.

The notifications are a mess.

Doesn't always pick up your steps, e.g go toilet a couple times in the night or go down stairs for a drink, will still Say zero steps or not increase

While I wouldn't say it's laggy or slow it is a bit choppy.

Best looking watch, amazing battery life, UI is nice but has zero customisability, best thing was sleep tracking

Remember it lacks GPS and NFC which put me off buying this and just keeping my W1
But if not after these two functions then this will be a great watch

My bad sorry about the confusing about the GPS, it does have GPS >.<

Well, I got one for Christmas and I am really pleased. Just from my experience:

Different step counter on my Samsung is in no existence since I disabled Samsung health. What is on the watch is in app.

It does pick up my steps at night. Which in my opinion is even too sensitive as I don't do sleep walking and sometimes I wake up and already has 10 steps.

Heart rate sensor very good.

Notifications once set in app to your preferences works well for me.

Battery life is very good. Without bluetooth all the time easily week.

Any activity has to be chosen from available options but agree can't choose hoovering as training. Although it will still measure heart rate and steps.

For me great is ability to make/receive phone calls from my watch.

There is few different watch faces to choose from including your own pictures.

You can also listen music once you download it tl you watch. Obviously quality is not brilliant but it is watch not sound system.

I like it more than expected.

I've not any problems with mine at all, picks up all my steps, logs all my activity, obviously u input most of it yourself by adding the acyltivity you are doing. It's not slow, battery life is amazing and lasts 15 days. Comes with black strap.

All the steps I do, are correct on my phone app as well as my watch. No issues on any level.

Great watch highly recommended.

It's suppose to pick up general activity too like walking etc but doesn't do it

It doesn't sync say if your phone picks up more steps than your watch...the watch won't adjust to the phone but your phone will adjust to the watch

Battery life 15 days for me, with Bluetooth on constantly.

Conversation is clear, handy if your phone is downstairs.

I have the first GT watch.... Really like it..... Except the sleep tracking. I can be awake half the night tossing n turning, sleep tracking shows nine hours solid sleep.
This watch any better ??

So not much improved over the original Watch GT. These watches could've been so much better.

That's how I felt a few little tweaks and functions they could be amazing
Looks better than the 1st watch but has very easily scratched glass. I am very careful with all my watches not a scratch on any of them BUT started wearing this one and within a couple of days the face was scratched - can't wear it now as the first thing I see is the scratched face which really annoys me (OCD obsessed)

You can get glass screen protectors that work perfectly

Does the gt 2 have word wrapping now? and what about font size is it changeable? as I find the my gt (version 1) notifications to be sometimes hard to see for a quick glance and with the words being cut off don't help either.
I've actually got out my old huawei watch 2 as I find that is way better for the above even with the smaller screen.

Not on this watch as the screen blends into the bezel
Get a Samsung Watch if GPS and NFC are important to you, the Bluetooth only one is a little bit more than this and as a result my experience of a smart watch has been quite good. Huawei W2 was a crap slow watch, not sure about this too.

So others that have the watch. If you walking down the street does it pick you up as being active or walking ? Mine doesn't
Does this include a spare strap ?

I think so according to a review I saw earlier it does.
Is new model any better because previous model cost £107

Depends if you want a dumb smart watch mainly for fitness with better design and battery.

Or a full blown smart watch with proper notifications etc? Also the Samsung is very chunky and big

mainly decent notifications, battery and heart rate, something that looks good. nfc payments a bounus but not a must. i wish i could take the best bits from both and morph it into one.

Me too. Im using a Fitbit versa 2 atm, it's good. But i loved the look and screen on the watch gt 2 but the notifications we're not very good and some problems picking up activity.

I would say for android the Samsung watch active 2 is the best all rounder watch. At the same time it takes a fair few Samsung apps to run which is annoying.

I found wear os good but the current battery issues and performance is a no go.

But if you had to go for one I would say Samsung , especially if you want NFC as it has Samsung pay and it has proper notifications etc
