Wow. Can the battery be replaced

Is this really worth the extra £45 over the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6?

Am really tempted to buy. My S4 has stopped working, and looking for another phone. Can anyone recommend anything similar for a similar price?

this is taken from the website. "To the extent that permitted by the local laws, this warranty of the Product extends for a period of twenty-four (24) months for the Host unit, six (6) months for Battery and Charger, and three (3) months for Earphone from the date of activation/purchase of the Product."

Looks like a nice phone.

Lot of phone for that price. Hot.

Nice specs - sounds a little too good to be true, shame the android version is miles behind. I'm on 5.1.1

does this or the honour 7 have removable battery's? as some sites say yes and others say no.

thanks

I personally think the Honor 7 is worth the extra £40. The H6 (which I o wn) is lacking some features - H7 is 2.2GHz and more optimized Kirin CPU, aluminum casing, NFC (although that's debated at the minute), fingerprint scanner, tap to turn the screen on, etc. Android 5.1 is coming out for the H6 soon but it''ll more than likely be the last version update. So I'd say get the H7 as (eventually) that'll get 6.0.

Tempted to sell my H6 tbh.

Sorry but I think that is the wrong Huawei phone...... The specs listed don't match what Huawei have on their own site for it.

How long would delivery be for this? Managed to leave my G3 in a puddle and this seems like a good replacement.

KitKat is hardly old and in many ways superior to Lollipop 5.0.

Ultra 6 has bigger screen and newer version of android (currently mines on 5.02, apparently a 5.1 is in the works).
With a load of tabs/apps open (say 20) it has between 400mb - 800mb ram free. This has 3gb, so you'll either have the extra gb gathering dust for the time being, or you'd need well over 20 things open to fill it. Android lags after a bit so I tend to reboot every day so for my use I doubt the extra gb will do much. The SU6 is pretty light, only a couple of vodafone apps which can be removed/disabled so its almost stock. This has a faster CPU/GPU, but unless you're benchmarking I doubt you'll notice any difference checking facebook or playing asphalt.

Personally considering amazons customer service, I'd choose the SU6 and put the £40 saved to something else. *

amazon.co.uk/Vod…IX2

£3.50 to unlock and works spot on with three 4g.

* (actually I lie, I'd choose the lumia 640XL LTE from vodafone for £118 when its back in stock)

But the way Android manages ram is more memory doesn't mean any gets wasted, it just gets used more efficiently. A certain amount is reserved for the system, and then the apps typically take up around 50% of whatever you have. More memory means more apps are open in the background and the smoother they are to switch between, etc.

If there is nothing to fill them ram then it still won't get used. What I mean is when I have chrome, youtube, some games etc running in the background, it still doesn't use up all my 2gb ram. When I had the jiayu s3 with 3gb ram, the same apps open I had over 1.2gb spare (would have been more but all the crap in the background took up 400mb), so for my needs having more than 2gb made stuff all difference.

Is it free to become an Honor club member? Just want the 3 years free warranty?? lol And also will it be unlocked to all networks??
Edited by: "Luciegoose" 28th Aug 2015

Bought an honor 6 about 6 months ago from Amazon when they briefly cut the price to £149. I bought it as a backup phone as my G2 was away for a warranty repair, but the honor 6 is so good I kept it and sold the G2 when it came back. I've now got an elephone p7000 and my wife has the honor 6 as a replacement for her troublesome S4 - and she loves the honor 6 as well.

It has fantastic battery life and could be stretched to three days if needed, very well built, good camera, probably the best speaker I've experienced in a phone, excellent bright and clear screen. Unlike others, I like th UI, it works very well and has a number of features I've not seen in other phones.

Yes. It's just the mailing list basically. I've been in the club for a while and they had a website launch promo a few weeks back where you could buy a free H6 flip cover and earphones... just had to pay postage. Not bad!

Is this price temporary or a permanent reduction

Will it be unlocked to all networks? Iand what Sim does it take? I've got an O2 4G normal/ converts to micro sim Thanks

Torn between this and the Elephone P8000. Can anyone recommend either one? Cheers.

I'm looking at the same decision too.

A review I found of poor camera quality and quiet headphone output has put me off the P8000.

Its unbelievable how expensive things are in this country. This phone costs something like £147 in India after conversion (no vouchers crap).

flipkart.com/hon…4z9

You can get it 20% cheaper if you went direct to a shop and pay cash vs ordering online So people could buy this for around £100. And there are also some local micromax clones of these devices for around £40-50!

The build quality on this phone is really good. Mine didn't have a scratch on it after 8 months and even after accidentally submerging it 80% into a pint of beer for a few seconds left no physical damage (although it did screw up what levels of charge the battery was displaying).

The P8000 looks shoddily build, Android Authorities review stated it has dust under the screen (which will eventually be a big problem as it builds up) and general below average construction quality.

What you need to take in mind is this is a ~£250 phone going for £170. The P8000 is a £120 phone being sold for £115

Different economy, different prices...
Is the average wage in India equal to what it is over here?

Undecided between the H6 and the SU6.

The 1 gig ram doesn't bother me too much. but is the processor on the H6 significantly faster in real life?

I can recommend the Honor 6, I've had mine since release day, have been extremely happy with it and have not had a single problem (I can't say the same for the HTC One M7 it replaced...).
I got my Daughter one for Christmas, she also loves it and has had no issues with hers at all.

~27,000 antutu vs ~ 42,000 antutu

I'd say you'd notice the difference during usage, but then I haven't used the SU6 to compare so can't really give a fair judgement!

Why do folk always consider the p8000 instead of the p7000? I think it's because the p8000 had such an active thread?

The p7000 is the GTI performance model, the p8000 is the turbo diesel - it's heavier, slower and slightly thicker. I replaced my honor 6 with the p7000 largely because I wanted to try a bigger screen, but I like it a lot and wouldn't go back to the honor 6 - plus its my wife's now and she wouldn't let me have it...

All that said, I have registered an interest in the wileyfox phone that was on here the other day.

if this is defo getting a lollipop update im tempted

Lollipop is currently beta, and will be released soon.

This or the Moto G 3rd gen?
