Probably one of the best phones around for an excellent price.

Specs and features
Although the Honor 6 is new to Europe, the smartphone actually launched elsewhere earlier in the year and there are others in the range too including the Honor C3 and Honor Holly. For now, it's just the Honor 6 which is making its way to Europe.
The Huawei Honor 6 features a 5in Full HD screen, octa-core processor, Cat 6 4G LTE and excellent battery life. The firm touts a battery life of 2.7 days from the 3100mAh battery.

On the design side the device is 7.5 mm and 130 g. Huawei says "The dazzling 3D diamond-style texture back cover is inspired by nature. A 6-layer high-complex surface treatment is made with special composite materials."

For photographers there is a 13 Mp rear camera which uses a fourth-generation Sony sensor and has a dual-LED flash. At the front is a 5 Mp camera with a wide-angle lens and 1.4um pixel size. Huawei touts the camera as the fastest possible snapshot around at 0.6 seconds.

You can take photos without needing to switch the screen on by double tapping the volume down button and there's a focus mode which allows you to take a photo then select the area of focus afterwards.

Also available in white

That octa-core chip is a Kirin920 which uses four 1.7 GHz A15 cores and four 1.3 GHz A7 processors for a combination of power and efficiency. It also has a Mali-T628 GPU and 3 GB of RAM.

The Honor 6 comes with Android 4.4 KitKat and Huawei's Emotion UI 2.3.

Octacore slower than a iphone 4..

I don't agree...not to mention that a new iphone costs 3 times as much..

Will this have the same 4G band support as the model Amazon UK sell?

Octacore is 8 cores! This most certainly is not slower than an iPhone 4! Either you're just trolling it terribly misinformed.

Super hot, wish I had the spare dosh.

Pls explain? Does more cors = more gud?

The 3gb of ram will definitely make this fast, very good alternative to the much hyped and expensive Samsung galaxy note 4.

Not necessarily but the iphone 4s was released in 2011 whilst the Honor 6 is new and we all know about Moore's law and the improvement in technology including the big.LITTLE CPUs.

Well, less P but more cors must be even, so this phone costs less P as well as having less P but more cors, so hence must be more gud...

To all those moaning about the processors, here is an extract from CNET review of the phone:

"It's running on an octa-core processor, made up of two quad-core chips clocked at 1.3GHz and 1.7GHz respectively, backed up by 3GB of RAM. That's an impressive engine, even for a high-end phone, let alone one with a budget-focused price. It achieved a very healthy score of 4,272 on the Geekbench test, putting it alongside the Galaxy Alpha's score of 4,350.

It didn't do as well on the Quadrant test, however, achieving 11,734 -- less than half the 23,729 the Alpha achieved on the same test. Benchmark tests aren't always an accurate representation of how a device performs though. In general use, I found it to be perfectly swift. Glossy racer Asphalt 8 played very smoothly, Netflix movies streamed well and swiping around the colourful interface was met with a minimum of lag and delay."

Huawei Honor 6 have Dual sim and a microSD card slot

Depends on the specific model. Huawei aren't doing themselves any favours be releasing loads of models with the same name but different features. Some have NFC but lack full UK 4g support, some are dual sim, some are not. The one Amazon UK sells is single SIM, full UK 4G support, no NFC. Not sure about this one...

only an android phone will ever need 8 cores and 3gb of ram, then still need upgrading in a years time due to poor software coding (on purpose) making the phone dog slow again...

This is a brilliant, brilliant phone for the price.

Only problem for me is that once you've owned a phone with a 2k resolution screen, going back to 1080p feels like the jump from HD to SD, hopefully they'll take the step up to 2k with the next flagships!

up to 64 gb

bbit vague this one!

I haven't bought anything from Amazon DE before. Would the warranty and return policy as good as in UK?

Thanks.

My 2+ year old Nexus 4 on latest OS shows you either don't know what you are talking about, or are trolling.. Especially with the evidence of slow down for old gen iPhones for example

on the reviews it states its thew single sim version, which one is the dual sim?

I don't even know what that means, but if you mean lag or hanging of the OS then no. It runs really nicely. If it had more storage I wouldn't be upgrading for another year or 2, but oh well.

so does this work on all four g networks in the uk ? does it have sd slot? does it have nfc? does it havve dual sim?

too many ifs for me but nice looking phone

More gud and cors = more English lessons needed. And definitely more tech knowledge and less trolling

Yeah.. You are right. Although it's called QuadHD (QHD) it's actually only 2k and not 4k like many people thought. Probably confused by the fact of 4k tv or able to shoot in 4k videos

Its coming out as £237.97 for me, how do you get it at this price?

Is this a dual sim?

so the nexus 4 doesnt lag, great, im buying one now.. anyone selling one?

haha.. i noticed people are grabbing the used unit from Amazon DE as well!!! hmmm.....

Is there any truth in Spyware on these? I know the western govts have been reluctant to use Chinese Modems/Routers/Phones as they reckon they have built in spyware... But then again.... so do Apple and Google as they spy on us ALL the TIME!!!!

Yeah for the sake of a minimal saving it's not worth it for me compared to getting it from Amazon UK. Hopefully it will drop under 200 notes fairly soon...
