I own one of these phones and paid about 190 for it a year ago.
I've seen them around the 150 mark before on sites like eBuyer, but 115 is an absolute steal for this phone!

I highly recommend this phone if you are after a budget phone with GREAT battery life and decent specs.I'd also recommend not being put back by its UI , as its very easy to install 'Nova Launcher' and your phone will both be 100% customisable and look amazing!

Make a lot of trunk calls on it, do you?

Last thing I bought from gearbest was a Xiaomi vacuum. Had to get amex involved after 3 months, god bless credit cards.

If the phone breaks in 2 months and you're happy to spend a other £115 on a replacement, go for it.

Plenty of other phones with similar spec UK seller for around £30-£40 more, and you won't want to punch yourself in the face if/when it goes wrong.

I was about to buy an S7 Edge last year after my previous phone stopped working and decided to try and spend less on a phone. Saw a sale on Argos with this phone, thought 'why not' , and what a GREAT phone! I've also heard great stuff about the P8 !
Bought this for the Mrs a year ago and its been top notch for the money. Even though its a touch older, I'd pick this over others like the P8 Lite 2017 for £129.

3GB ram, FHD screen, Dual Sim, 7 hours of screen on time and takes great pictures. At just over £100, whats not to like?

Good deal, my Mrs has one but this version isn't the UK one with band 20 I believe
Agree that this is a great deal at this price. Definitely the equal of the Redmi Note 4.

I do find these phones to have excellent hardware, and although I don't like the standard Honor UI , installing a launcher makes it as good as a high end phone

The latest EMUI (Honor/Huawei Android UI) has an app tray which makes it much more like a standard OS implementation.

I wish Xiaomi would just get over themselves and do the same for MIUI...

Great to know! I pretty much installed Nova the day this arrived, installed the Google Pixel icon pack as I like it being pretty simplistic, and the phone looks and works amazingly.

Be careful with the update to Android 7 / EMUI 5, not sure if I'm just unlucky but causes constant freezes. Have tried full restore, rolling back and reupdating but no dice unfortunately because otherwise a great phone. As OP says though you could just stay on Android 6 and use another launcher
This is a cracker of a deal op. Sorry for asking but I've never used Gearbest before. How do they work eg customs, which postal option and best method of payment. I see this ships from their HK warehouse. Any help, advice will be appreciated thanks.

Consider this... Four weeks have passed and you still don't have your phone... When it does turn up it develops a fault within 6 months. How much would you wish you'd paid for the privilege of buying it from a UK company?

For me, less than it costs.

I just bought the 6A version for £99.99 on Amazon ... any opinions on that from the tech savvy crew?

Pretty sure they mark it as a gift so it slips through without getting charged (obviously not a 100% guarantee). I went for priority line. :-)
£159 now.
Had mine for nearly a year & it's fantastic, I even bought a used one for £90 for a friend and he is delighted with it.

Showing as £115.06 for me also.

And will be £1015.07 for just over the next 5 Day's and 11+ Hours too ...

**** Edit ****

When you click on the 'Get Deal's button, wait a few Seconds, then it'll automatically just from it's previous £159 odd, all the way down to £115 odd instead?. :-)

You're correct, there's no 4G Band 20 on the OP's phone.

But other 4G Networks are supported though.

As in 4gb ram or something?.

And how much you pay for that?, and/or where from?.

Link please?. :-)

I had a similar problem with a Huawei P9 - I think I solved it by putting the camera app into the special group that the phone doesn't try to optimise the battery on (sorry I can't remember the name of the setting)
Then also the same for the gallery app - I think the little thumb nail image of your last photo taken (appears on bottom of camera app) causes a delay to open camera.
Hope this helps?
Decent phone with an amazing battery but very avergage camera
What's the benchmarks like on ths compared to a Honor 7?

Have an Honor 7 but it's getting long in the tooth and have had to replace the battery. It doesn't last very long in use these days.

I had something like this happen. Cost wise it still works out but it's inconvenient having a phone break on you. The radio died on my Xiaomi Redmi 4S after 9 months. I'd paid £90 for it, so it worked out at £10 a month, so still good value but time consuming to deal with.

Sounds like you've been unlucky dbailey. Mrs's 6X is significantly better under Android 7 / EMUI 5.
Thankd

I haven't had freezes, though I updated and went straight back to the nova launcher, but battery life seems to have taken a hit since the update. It's not a problem but doesn't seems to last as well, it was outstanding before.
Great phone!!!
