Likely very little but this media scaremongering is definitely causing bargains to crop up. As to Envirofone, MM, etc. they are dumping stock and not paying much to buy in Huawei phones any more so eventually these deals will just dry up altogether rather than continue to fall in price.

Personally I've never had much luck with Huawei phones so will give this one a miss, but know it's a good deal.

Yeah sorry, misread the title
Excellent all gone?
Wish I'd got an excellent one now. Trouble is, there are sooo many good phones out there I don't actually know which one I want. Between Mi 9, Mi 9T Pro, honor view 20, P20 Pro, Zenphone 6, OnePlus 7 Pro or the P30 Pro if it ever came right down. Still think that's the ultimate phone.
The Mi 9T, OnePlus 7 Pro and Zenphone 6 put me off with there pop up cameras which is a shame coz they are amazing phone. And can't believe the Zenphone 6 has a 5000mAh battery which has massive appeal, not sure it's the sexiest phone though.
What's the next big phone to come out?

I heard that the Zenphone 6 takes at least 2:30 hours to fully charge because it doesn't want to overheat the cell or something. Saw/heard this on a youtube video if I can find it.
Edit: Charge Test under 2 hours 15 minutes and This is the review that stated 2 hours 30 minutes.

Crapping themselves at the thought of competition and the revenues they will lose by not having their bloat on the leading seller of the year before the bans.
If Huawei go it alone it won't be long before, Xiaomi and other Chinese OEM's follow, as they don't trade in the US anyway.

Inexchange, you get a phone with incredible battery life. Only the Google Pixel 3a XL beating it to the no.1 spot. youtube.com/wat…w6Q
What worries me most though is this:-

"Update: After Google suspended Huawei's future access to Android Play Storeand security updates, there are serious question marks over the future of Huawei and Honor phones.

While Google and Huawei have promised to support phones currently on the market, it's not clear how long they'll receive Android updates or access to the Google Play Store, which would severely curtail their usefulness compared to the competition."

Can they actually cut a phone off the play store that has access today? I thought, given that android is open source, that was basically impossible... But then I really have absolutely no idea
I’ve been looking at a oneplus from them.. but really wanted pristine, especially as it’s the 6 I want and not the newest anyway.

Anybody else got any thoughts on the “excellent condition” phones from them?
I heard that Facebook, Instagram and whatsapp were also affected by the Huawei situation, anyone aware of the details on this?

They won't come pre-installed on new phones which might not be a bad thing as you can install what you want yourself
theverge.com/201…ock

Security threat is a load of BS as the US called cheaper Canadian steel and aluminum a national security threat too so basically any cheaper competition is a threat

No one can explain if Huawei is a security threat, why US tech companies are exempt from ban to sell components to Huawei. It makes no sense to say China might use Huawei to spy but still supply them parts to do it?

Can any tech security experts explain why Huawei won't be banned and stops being a security threat if China signs a trade deal with the US? It only got banned after the trade deal and tariff war

This proves Huawei is just a pawn to protect US tech companies, especially those that build 5G who can't compete against cheaper competition

Exactly. Trump has even said that Huawei can be part of any trade deal that ends up being agreed which completely contradicts the security threat reasons for blacklisting Huawei in the first place.

An open sourced OS does not imply that applications cannot be blacklisted. Google Play is not indigenous to Android OS and is an independent entity in its own right. The blacklisting arises from the barring of Huawei to apply for Android CTS (Compatibility Test Suite) compliancy. Google Play blocks usage for manufacturers that have not ensured CTS compliancy and the upshot is that Google Play becomes inoperable on such devices.

So can you still install facebook, WhatsApp and instagram if you can't get Google play either?
