LOL! Huawei for £600 - no, thanks!

To be honest, that's apply to every phone?

£1000 for iPhone X? Lol
£800 for Samsung? lol
£700 for Google Pixel's?

If I was paying £600 for any phone at the moment, I'd get this. But I wouldn't pay any that much for any phone.

Ridiculous pricing for a Huawei phone. I have the Huawei P9 and I wouldn't pay more than £350 for this phone.
I have got a Mate pro 10 and its brilliant at everything, I only charge it once every 3 days and then it only takes just over an hour to charge from flat if you use the supplied charger. Unlike the blokes at work with their Iphones that are permanently on charge! I was a bit apprehensive about buying after having Samsungs for years it but I have no regrets whatsoever now I have been using it a while.

P10 and P10 Plus equally great quality with slightly lower specs now £349.99 and £449.99 . Or if your looking for a great bargain the P10 lite at £179.99 is an awesome bit of kit (currently own one).

Rubbish offer as you cannot begin to claim the cashback until 03/01/2018, and then wait until the claim has been 'processed', and then wait up to another 30 days before the refund is paid. That means that it could be March 2018 at least before you get your refund.

£100 less than that from Amazon italy or Germany.
However better is subjective. I have the S8 and battery is poor.
The battery on this phone is 33% larger than the S8

Read it again..
Upon successful validation of your claim, receive your cashback payment via bank transfer within 30 days.

They can take as long as they want to validate your claim. That can be 3, 6, 9 months or longer if they want.
IF you can find where it states cashback paid before 03/02/2018 then I'll be pleased to read it!

I also noticed that Argos is on the list of Qualifying Retailers and they don't even sell it!

Not really a big deal as long as you get it. If you need the £100 urgently then you probably shouldn’t buy the phone in the first place.
I've got this phone and it is very good. Excellent camera - focus not perhaps quite as fast as my wife's S7 but image quality is at least a match and with plenty of options thanks to the dual camera (the selfie camera isn't as good but that's of no interest to me personally). The wide aperture 'portrait' mode works very well indeed.

Battery life is ridiculously good, the chipset is very quick and has a built in neural processing unit which will be leveraged by lots of software in the future (something you won't find in the Snapdragon 835). Currently set to help 'learn' your usage to improve battery life and assist the camera, but lots of other possibilities in the future with software updates. Learning phones? Skynet is coming for us!

It's well-balanced for a largish phone and my one fear that it would be a bit big to tote around has proved unfounded. Very well-built but, as with all of these glass backed phones, it's an accident waiting to happen if you use it without a case. Slippier than a bar of wet soap. It comes with a TPU case which I'm currently using and is fine, but I think I'll look elsewhere for something different.

My only previous Huawei phone was a P8 which had bulletproof build quality as well and was very reliable, though not too fast. EMUI, the Huawei version of Android is a lot less intrusive now whereas it was a bit of pain in some respects back when I had the P8.

Yeah, S8 battery life is decidedly average.

couldn't agree more. Bought my p10 pro Plus with 6gb 128GB from China while on holiday. Its my first Huawei product, which was bit was bit worry about the quality. But i have to say, i wish i had bought it before lg And Samsung. Solid build quality, fast processors, Good battery life. And i love The dual sim card slot, If u have 2sim card for work Or oversea uses.
I'm really considering moving from iPhone (had the 3,4,5 and now 6) to an android phone but this time with a 5.7-6inch screen to eliminate the need for my phablet device.

Typically everything that ticks the most boxes for my needs is pushing up the prices these days, I was looking at the Pixel 2 XL, then the 5T and now this looks interesting. But I was kinda hoping to pay even less. I would have to say based on this, 600 would be my max, when initially I was hoping for 400.

The camera needs to be at least as good as my iPhone 6. I use the fingerprint tech daily so I want that too (Android Pay and unlocking). I do like the idea of faster charging and even wireless charging, but it's lower in my list of priorities.

I'll keep my eye on this one for now and see what happens with the market come March, unless a miracle happens before I travel end of Jan.

I would suggest the Honour 9, 7X and V10 as cheaper alternatives to this. The V10 has recently been announced, very similar specs (uses same hardware) to this but a cheaper price point and also made by Huawei. I was also Apple with the 3G, 4S, 5, and 6s Plus, since moving to android I 100% wouldn't go back to Apple!! Used Samsung which are great but really loving my Huawei atm, couldn't recommend a better brand .
Heck this phone is amazing at £899, £599 should be a buy from anyone thinking about getting the phone.

This is a great phone, serious flagship in the Android world. One of the best smartphones in the world. This phone is immense.

DXO Mark (Camera Ratings that Samsung, Apple and Google all stand by) rated this at a 97 for camera, beating the Note 8 (94), drawing with iPhone X (97), and only losing to the Pixel 2/2XL (98)

Amazing battery, close to the best in a smartphone due to the 4000mAh Battery stacked inside, bigger than Note 8 (3300mAh), iPhone X (2716mAh) and Pixel 2 XL (3550mAh). Huawei have optimised this battery in EMUI and it lasts well throughout a day with heavy use and with moderate 1.5-2 days

The screen is a 6"0 1080p IPS Display (402ppi Density). Although 1080p, this screen is still gorgeous and uses the new 18:9 Aspect Ratio, first introduced in mass earlier in the year with the LG G6.

In Performance, this phone uses 6GB RAM, compared to the Note 8's 6GB, the iPhone X's 3GB and the Pixel 2/2XL's 4GB. 6GB is well enough for daily use, and paired with the mighty Kirin 970 means for an amazing User Experience.

EMUI has mixed reviews, and is a heavy but more welcome skin on Android compared to most. While TouchWiz/Samsung Experience is dreaded among reviewers and enthusiasts, EMUI seems to have mixed reviews. It's smooth, fast and has much less lags after months of use than most other skins.

There are multiple versions of this Device, lots of colours and both Single and Dual SIM (Nano) Variants.

This Device is IP67 Rated so will withstand a metre of water for approximately 30 minutes

Great review. I'm very torn between this and the Pixel XL 2.
I like the Mate 10 pro for its battery and screen as well as the camera. Not keen on the fact that it has no headphone jack. Does it come with headphones?
I know it comes with an adapter for a headphone and with a plastic skin for the case as well as screen protector.
Pure android 8.1 and better camera could swing me towards the Pixel although it is £150 more expensive at the moment.
Will wait until new year..

If not the best phone if the year. Some people haven't a clue on what is good and what is not, mostly apple fans. Of you want an overpriced piece of carp get an iPhone x £999, if you want a complete package nearly £500 cheaper getter huawei mate 10 pro.
Even apple admit the battery problem. They put small batteries so it does not last long. So people keep buying new one. However with 4000mah, this phone will last long time. I only wish it will be around 500 not 550. Still one more week to go. I will wait patiently..
