The biggest problem of the Mate 20X is the fact that there's nothing to replace the amazing value for money it offers. Even at full price! It's the first piece of technology that creates an existential crises.

Ordered a Poco, cancelled it to get a pixel 4xl, now tempted by this. Why are you doing this to me
The Mate 20X has held its price better than the Mate 20 Pro. For some reason it's harder to spot this phone at a discount.

Still happily using mine

Awww shucks... Got a lovely Samsung tablet not long ago... Making me jealous
It's a good phone, I have one but getting a bit long in the tooth now. The screen resolution is fairly low for the size and also quite dim I find. Also concerning as someone mentioned above that Google will no longer supply updates to Huawei due to the trade war so not sure if it will get many more security updates and also talk that safety net may stop working on Huawei devices so no Google Pay etc. I'm personally looking to get Mi 10 Pro global ROM so please sort me out Mr Switch!

Great phone and this looks to be a cracking price!
It's amazing how well the 20x is retaining value! Never ever letting go of mine!

Yeah, but you lost four months worth of 20X time dude, lol! Not worth it!
Using mine now and still love it! Picked it up for £450 from a deal on here. Never heard of it before that.

Upgrade due in 2 months time. Because I love the screen size tho I won't upgrade as I don't think there is anything else on the market this big?
Sorry yes that's what I mean. I believe you can't use Google Pay on the Chinese version can you?

This is most likely the case they dropped it by £60 , the people who run the cex website are usually always in the loop and adjust prices accordingly
I love my Huawei 20 x, ticks all the boxes for me!

Only frustration is app notifications seem to stop after a few weeks

Example ring doorbell. At first I used to get all the security notifications but now nothing and same for other apps follow suit

No there haven't been any premium phones made with a screen this big since sadly. Only the Note 20 ultra comes close but costs a fortune and not worth it unless you import a SD865 plus version from China or the US. Still a lot more than I would pay, especially when I managed to buy P30 Pro brand new from o2 for £252 last year.

Hey. Did you managed to find a good price for Pixel 4 XL? Brand new?
Love the idea of this, but is that right - no waterproofing at all?
I love my Mate 20x. I've had mine for ages and have absolutely no need to shop for another phone. Beast !!!

You need to go to 'app launch' and set each app where you want notifications to manage manually. Then go to battery optimization and set each corresponding app to don't allow. This should stop EMUI putting those apps in a deep freeze which is why you stop getting notifications.
MrSwitch15/08/2020 18:51

Shame, I live by the coast and wouldn't want to risk it.

Tempted now and just brought the Nord. Is it worth selling the Nord to get this?!
about time CEX reduced prices.
Currently a lot of phones are way cheaper at Musicmagpie, gadgets4u, envirofone etc
CEX havent dropped there prices since pre-covid
Galaxy S9 plus and Mate 20 pro - are still the same price as they were pre-covid (nearly SIX MONTHS AGO!)

CEX......start dropping your prices or start dropping your customers!
