You've done nothing but moan about this on every huawei thread. You haven't got the DHL email so it hasn't shipped. Accept it.

Just wait like everyone else, you ordered it like 2 days ago - what do you expect with everything that's going on.

You do realise it's Monday and for the last 2 days it was a weekend? Even without the coronavirus shutting down the whole world in what world do you expect to order something on a Friday and expect it delivered already (apart from amazon who have their own delivery service). Maybe wait till the end of today or tomorrow for your delivery update at least then you can try calling them and asking instead of being ready to talk bad about a company for having barebones staff trying their best to help you.

If you want a refund, wait until you get it and then send it back.

Have been on the phone 3 times to this mob today, with out any solution. I expect I will have the same run around tomorrow. When 3 different people in their customer service can't even confirm if an item has been posted or not. You know things are bad.

That is bad but and on par with my 35 minutes on hold to speak to a Manager but then told there wasn't one there. They were hoping i'd hang up after a while.
Lesson to learn - stay away from these Chinese companies who have terrible customer services after they sell you their product as they are based in places like the Philippines who dont have the power to do much

What was the nature of the issue? I have started having the occasional black flicker recently and I am wondering if it is the same thing. Really like it beyond this though.
Wow, so many people commenting as though they've dug their heads in the sand. There is a covid-19 issue going around if anyone hasn't realised. 20 percent of the labour force is out, including delivery couriers, managers, etc. Add a week onto your normal waiting times and if you can't do that, know that the quarantine is getting to you all.

If you like the machine then go for it and grab 8gb RAM to ramp it up.
A reminder that if you are not satisfied or your item does not arrive you can always open a dispute / chargeback with the bank.

It’s heavy handed as you effectively take the money back off of them, but if you have tried to resolve issues directly to no avail, it can be treated as a last resort.

As you say, things like this probably won't be working so well at the moment. Give it a few days before chasing it up.
I saw the logic in these when they were massivley cheaper than other ultrabooks and macbooks - but that's an eyewateringly high price for Huaweii kit
Setting aside whatever issues people may have with huawei's customer service (which imo can be cut a bit of slack due to current circumstances...) Is this 13" one good spec/good value for the money? I'm now sorry i delayed over the 14" but it doesn't appear that it will return to stock before the freebuds deal is over.

Even goods marked as Amazon Prime (probably 3rd party vendors) is marked for delivery by late April. People just need to get a grip! Well said, Masterstick!

What you fail to take into account here is. The delivery time is not the issue. They are taking money for items they don't have in stock. There systems shown as the items being dispatched, and then disappearing. So people have a right to be annoyed regardless of what else is going on. If they were able to say to people on the phone that the item is going to take a bit longer, then fair enough, we can all accept that. Anybody who doesn't would be unreasonable. But when you are getting told that they don't know where the item is or if it even left the warehouse in the first place, and that they cant then issue a refund. I'm sorry but regardless of what else is going on, that is unacceptable. This information should take a couple of clicks on a computer screen to rectify.

I don't think you can upgrade the ram. Shame as I would have done it.
I had one of these, got it last July from Argos. Fantastic machine, until the backlight started flickering out of nowhere. Contacted Huawei, who were happy to send me packaging to return the laptop to their service centre (somewhere in the UK, can’t remember where).

I ended just returning to Argos in the end though who gave me a refund as, according to them: they had no method of repairing it.

The one thing I’d say is, the Matebook 13 is known to have build quality issues when compared to the Matebook X etc, so bare that in mind when you buy this - it’s an ultra book designed to compete with the MacBook Air, but is sold for £200 cheaper for a reason unfortunately.
