I dunno depends on their pricing tbh I think still a good buy t h though I can get it for £600 with some work discount
Yeah the 4600h and 4800h models are vastly superior
This seems like poor value imo. Doesn't really scream high spec :/

Yes, perhaps not the best value considering this was about £550 with half the storage and AMD 3000 series.
However, this laptop is not about the specs. This is more about the screen, which is 2k, you can't find many laptops with this screen, the nits are well above an average laptop, also metal premium built, very compact. Some people compromise on specs for the form factor. I5 10th gen and 512 SSD is not bad anyway, in fact I prefer i5 rather than Ryzen 3000.

If you get it for £600, this is a good laptop. While the 4000 series is superior, most of the people will not use the CPU at its full capacity and IMO an Intel will better suit the majority. At £750 now, if you add a 4000 series CPU, this will be close to £900, so not a good value, there are better laptops out there for such a price. I don't even know why people want a 4800 CPU in such a compact and small laptop.

Which discount scheme are you using and which retailer is it available from to get it for 600? I'm interested as I have a discount scheme through work
These aren’t the same as the cheaper matebook D that pop up with the AMD CPUs. Much better build, keyboard and screen on these

True, but it is/was considerably cheaper with 3000 series and half the storage. And better value IMO, unless you get this for £600 as some suggested.

Agreed. The i5 version has double the storage and an MX250 graphics card, but I'm not convinced those two are worth £200+.
This is a good read if you can wait for the Ryzen 5 models

If both, i5 and Ryzen 3000 series were at the same price, I definitely prefer i5. Even if I have to pay around £50 more. But £200 it's too much.

I do get work disc
Meh no ryzen
Im seriously considering importing the Ryzen 5 model, either with the 4600H or the 4800H. Sadly the Matebook 13 is still a bit gimped in the port department. I dont think it can do dual monitor output. The Matebook 14 (which I dont believe has or will be released in the UK) has the same superior build, a dedicated HDMI and full sized USB ports that can output dual monitor. The only snag is the US keyboard but I think I can live with that.

I just noticed that but Im also confused. The specs state it will use a "Up to AMD Ryzen™ 7 4700U processor" with a 16:9 1080p screen. This "Matebook 14" is probably just a rebadged D14

The proper Matebook 14 has a 2K 3:2 screen with a 4600H/4800H processor.
