No deal on the magicbook 15?
Is this the same device as this:

but with bigger HD and free mouse?

Yes.
Another great price @sisqoboy - impressive for that 512GB model
I got this exact deal the beginning of June for my daughters birthday to use at uni and paid £549. Good deal.
250 nits isn't great if you want to use it in bright light. And am I right in thinking the USB-C port is used for charging. so there are no spare USB-C ports except when running on battery? Otherwise sounds like a good deal.

Thanks! yep, I didn't really see the 512 GB version on sale, tbh...

yep, you have the extra 256 GB storage and the mouse in this deal.
Reckon I'd be be able to do some basic gaming (League of Legends and other non-graphically intensive games, on low settings) on this, or should I go for something more beefy?
EDIT: nevermind, Huawei don't offer any sort of extended warranty on laptops. Not for me.

Kind of, but not really. The 14" has larger battery and much longer battery life. Also, the 14" has backlit keyboard, which 15" does not.
How does the processor compare to i3 i5 etc?

It's the old generation. Slightly worse than an 8th gen i5. Better than an i3 (even current)
Current 4500u is better than the 10th generation i5, however.

Oops. Yes. Identical machines.

I even downloaded all the drivers for my Magicbook from Matebook site.

Might be worth waiting to see if these turn up on the UK websites.

You should always backup and wipe your devices before passing through US customs, then restore them when you are safely away from the airport.
Do they deliver to Dublin?
lovely laptop so glad i bought this last year, far nicer than the thick heavy plastic ones.
Is this better than the Honor 14inch?
The new 2020 models with the Ryzen 4500u/4700u are out any minute now. Much better performance and battery life. Won't be discounted like these end of line models but tbh worth the extra money
Good deal, I bought at £522 two weeks ago

Very likely. A friend had his M6 tablet confiscated at PHL customs and given a receipt to collect it when returning back to the UK. He got it back safely, but the battery was fully drained. I wouldn't risk taking any Huawei product to the US, not until that idiot Trump is out of office in a few months from now!
Got this delivered yesterday from Amazon Warehouse for £400... Hell of a bargain and fastest laptop I've ever used... Twice as fast as my work laptop and 1/3rd of the price... Seriously starts up in like 2 seconds

Was condition "Used" but turned up and only box had been opened. Laptop was still in plastic sealing which was still sealed so actual laptop is as new I'd say. No marks or anything. Just the box had been opened and that's it. I had the only one there btw but maybe give it a checked after midnight which seems to be when they add stuff.

Im very confused by all these laptop deals. My main requirement is a great screen and good build quality.

Am I right in thinking Matebook 13 has a brighter and higher quality screen but lacks in terms of ports and battery life compared to the Matebook D 14? It seems to me like the Matebook 13 is the more higher quality, Apple-esqu device but the D14 is a better general purpose machine
Great machines, owned the Matebook 13 before. The D seems to be a more budget option but still seems to edge on the premium side of a cheaper laptop. But at this point in the lifecycle don’t buy a 3rd gen Ryzen, wait for the 4th gen.
