Had my eye on this tablet for a while to replace my good old HUDL2...already reduced to £239, and the £20 Tesco code TDX-WFGR makes it cheaper than anywhere else at the moment.

Ended up using some clubcard vouchers I'd built up too, as there doesn't seem to be much use saving these up these days...

Marginally cheaper at Argos Ebay (using 10% code & collect options) - comes to £215.99

Why would you buy this rather than say an Amazon Fire HD 10? The M3 Lite only has an entry level Snapdragon 435 @ 1.4ghz giving an Antutu score of 45K, the Fire has a Mediatek mid to upper level with an Anututu of 64K

I picked up a Fire for £109 on Black Friday

Fire OS for one. Having both fire devices and vanilla android. FireOS isn't everyone's bag. I know you can 'remove' or at least hide most of the fire-ish-ness and install Google services. But still. Average Joe didn't want to muck about I guess.

Each to their own of course.

Fire OS was horrible when it came out originally....but it's fine now. You can install the Google Play Store and all the Google Apps seem happy.

I think hacking the device is a bad idea.
