This is a high spec tablet, generally higher specs than iPad Mini 4 for example plus of course option of cheap expandable storage.

Would purchase myself if I didn’t have the M3, which is great.

[Image] It says it has one, are you mistaken?

They also so say Samsung tvs have Android . Can you see a 3.5mm jack in an image or review video.

That spec is wrong.

e.g.

Unfortunately, as with many recent phones, the MediaPad M5 ditches the traditional headphone jack and bundles an adapter in the box so you don’t have to use USB-C headphones

from techadvisor.co.uk/rev…16/ and as the original poster points out it comes with an adapter cable.

Why not just use your phone as a hotspot ? I bought a dual sim as I have a work phone and a personal, personal has 30GB of data so I just set it up as a hot spot and all my other devices can just wifi to that. simples.
Definitely no headphone socket. Bluetooth or USB type C only.

It's been available on the French and German Amazon sites since February. Perhaps it's not getting an official UK release. It's odd but we don't seem to get these 4G tablets in the UK.

"
  • Date de mise en ligne sur Amazon.fr: 13 février 2018"

Which translates to:

"Date registered on Amazon.fr: February 13, 2018".

amazon.fr/gp/…c=1

Does anyone know of any obvious issues with buying French one?

I got one of these a few weeks back. Applied the Netflix HD firmware update. But Netflix would not resume from pause if watching a HD title whilst using BT headphones. SD was ok and so was watching HD without BT headphones

Judging from experience, it's not as practical as having a built-in cellular, plus it sucks your phone's battery at a phenomenal rate. In short it works, yes, if you use it only occasionally. But for regular use, I 'd pay £30-50 extra for the 4G version.
