No sorry I'm just after a code
Don't suppose anyone knows of a good value tablet a bit bigger than this? I'm thinking 12" Plus but can't find much.

Otherwise I'll probably go for one of these. Cheers

The 8" one has a faster processor than the 10" one - however, unless you need LTE, then the wifi version might be a better option for some. Looking at XDA, the firmware updates for the LTE models seem to be rarer than the for the wifi model.

I love my 8" M5, and it's currently running Android 9 with June 2019 security patches. I believe the majority of the LTE models are still on Android 8.

I take it that if I get the 8" version from Amazon deal, it can be updated to Android 9 immediately?

The wifi version should do. The lte version isn't guaranteed.

This annoys me too, only want one for media consumption including magazines etc, ie big screen with no need for horsepower, but you can only get flagship devices in the big boy sizes. Otherwise you need to resort to Chromebooks but again detachable screens or tablets versions are big money, fold back ones are just too cumbersome to make them much more useful than my Macbook.

Gave up and went for one of these on the ebay deal from yesterday, gained 0.7"

I've got the LTE version, it received the Pie update a while back.

I have the wifi version and had to use pc software to upgrade the android from 8 to 9 on the tablet. Latest patch came through OTA.
