Why doesn't this tablet come with a charger?

O2 is working to try and reduce waste. And as 70% of people already have a USB charger at home, we've decided to not include one with your tablet. If you do need a charger you can add one after choosing your tariff. O2 does not make money from selling the charger separately.

Perfect, thanks for this. Needed something to drive my Chromecast audio multiroom and this will do just perfect.

Can't find it without a monthly contract now!

You buy with monthly contract then cancel the airtime part and pay off the phone in full.

can someone give me step by step instructions regarding how to go about cancelling the airtime Eg do I do it before or after 14 days?. I opted for 9.99 upfront and 6 /month.

ordered thanks. can someone tell me what's the best process to cancel airtime. Do I do it before or after 14 day period?

Call and pay device balance off and cancel airtime contract when it arrives.

No call capability, the battery time is misleading as is the photo of item. At time of Samsung S2 deal, contacted on Livechat, Lady confirmed no calling, voice call function.

With those specs I would say you're getting exactly what you're paying for.

i thought could talk? seems a great phone for unlimited tariff but no tethering as can Netflix to hearts content on train. i used to do this wiyh galaxy tablet with calling

After research on the net, there are two types of Huawei mediapad, with or without calling feature.

thanks. so do we think this one is calling or not?

If it's the LTE version it can send texts as well as making and receiving calls. It's only the wifi version that can't.

If this DOES have calling, how do you get a sim that does both? In my acer tablet I have a sim but once I'd used it to make a call, I got an error message up saying it couldn't then be used for data (or the other way round - can't remember which now)

got 10 inch huawei mediapad T1 from o2 fresh for 59 pounds... it's 4g version, it's brilliant pad for kid (rom's only 1gb, so you prob won't want to use it for gaming), took o2 more than 1 month to send the unlocking code though. I have now put freedompop sim into it, great pad and great price!

OOS

Out of stock for home delivery and not available in any store in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, Wembley, Kent, Stirling. assume not available nationwide.

Similar to gp2 - I've got one of these and it's great. I'm having an absolute nightmare with O2 trying to provide the unlocking code though. It's been 1 month, 2 attempts and no further forward. Both codes they've sent so far have been wrong and they don't seem to have a clue.

so I ordered it and paid up front 35 so can I cancel the 5pound contract it doesn't seem to be on refresh it's a data only contract

Correct, wifi and data capable - a o2 data contract with text allowance does not allow calls though, well it never used to that may have changed since I had a 3G modem on o2 when 3G was new (lol yes that long)

It's still classed as Refresh, so you'll need to cancel the £5/month Airtime when it arrives.

I saw this but for the price I went for the 8" to post.

Android can run on 512MB, 1GB is fine without loads of apps running in the background, gaming certainly will be challenging but hey a gaming tab for £35 lol, just LOL

This will be my upgrade to my 4G Alcatel Pop7S for commuting, which is alright but plastica fantastica, but @ £24 it was going to be, aluminium on the T1 for less than a tenner more

I always thought these O2 refresh deals sounded great... then I took one when I needed to buy a phone for kids birthday. Ordering was fine, easy and delivered fast - Then the trouble started when having to contact O2. Felt like pulling teeth when getting through their systems, speaking with O2 South African reps. Numerous promises that there would be no penalty or termination fee: Think you can guess by tone of this post that I received a bill after paying off device in full for over £350.
Seriously think is it worth it before going Refresh!

Hmmm, sounds like you're tied into paying £5 for 24 months. By cancelling, you'd be breaching contract, thus they have every right to charge you the £120 over the 2 years?

same happened to me, they ensured i wont receive a termination fee but then 2 weeks later £400 out of my account. Took them 1 month to return it.

Management instruction to do this, had to ask help desk to cancel their request for £333 yesterday even though everything was cancelled and I had email confirmation.
.
Based on my old past experience it could be to do with sales bonus booked and paid out depended on revenue. If revenue for sales was cancelled immediately, no sales bonus would be payable to salesmen and sales managers. On the other hand, even after cancellation, they sort of not really cancelled, so sales were booked as revenue, hence sales bonus payable.

When you call out of standard hours, switchboard switch calls to overseas, outside of EU. Cancel is straight forward, just need to cancel your direct debit before O2 take cancellation fee out by direct debit. Even when they did they would refund as long as you cancelled before end of cooling off period.

Are you saying it is best to call in or out of normal office hours then? I cannot work it out from what you have written.

I don't know, I was replying to someone who complained about an overseas help desk, so just suggesting an alternative, best to call after 10:00 apparently ( when I had called at 15:30 a robot voice said too busy, please call tomorrow at ten).

don't quite get it as it says 24 month contract and I don't see any way to pay the 35 up front?

looks too confusing with the cancellation. i got burnt by incompetent bt before and not cancelling broadband and bt vision when they installed it and found out my broadband not fast enough! had to threaten them with offcom
