1024x600 resolution and Android 4.4 - no thanks, not even at £47!

£42.50 a piece... I bought the missus a fire HD 8" for part of her crimbo prezzie, when on offer at 49.99.... I cadged her old fire 7" to lake abart with, and can say for a 2 yrs old model it's mint, quick, long life battery, even these were 29.99 a piece on amazons deals, so dunt make these that cheap really. though they have a better screen than the fire 7

£99 each @ Argos. Only 1gb ram, but still very fast (my grand daughter had one until she introduced a spider to it ).

Between this and Fire I’d go for this as Fire in my opinion isn’t as good (I have Fire and 10inch version of this tablet) the Fire is going to be used for Magic Mirror project. My 10inch version of this was £99 from Argos and was £89 at Tesco a while ago.
Beware, the Huawei OS don't let you store apps on an external sd card. Photos and videos are okay.
having two of them doesn't make them less crappy

Yes, terribly screen, ancient Android version, not enough RAM or storage. It does not matter how cheap it is - for a painful experience I would not pay any money.

I prefer the Nook HD+, which you can still get on ebay for about 30 pounds. It has the same RAM problem, but the screen is amazing, and with Lineage OS you can run a recent Android version.

Shame AAPL have cornered the market and the competition have lost the will.

Personally at 8GB and the OS factored in I would...

AVOID.

The Fire OS runs Android at its core. It's not too difficult to add GApps to Fire devices, or replace the OS with stock Android if you wish.

Not when the fire 7 was 30 quid though and I'd say the fire has been better than her previous ACER 7" jobbies (she's had 2, both had battery faults!). the HD 8" was good value at 49 quid

But you forget, this is 2 Android Tablet's for your £95 though?.

As opposed to your 1 Android Tablet for a significantly dearer £89!.

So kinda depends on your interpretation, etc?. :-)

You make no sense. I bought the fire when it was on 30 quid deal for my Magic Mirror build. This I have in 10inch I use for streaming etc.

I have a Nook hd+ lying about, how do I install that lineage os on it?

Add gapps yes - replacing the os is damned near impossible nowadays with a locked bootloader.
1gb Ram, noooooo thanks
