Why would the Chinese government be so interested in the paranoid average Joe? Sure it's a problem if you live in China but seeing what kitsch you've bought on ebay & what adult websites you visit isn't likely to be the key to destroying the West.
That's also ignoring the fact that a lot of western companies have been just as unscrupulous in their acquisition of data such as the likes of Facebook, yet most people still seem to use that rubbish.

Of course if this was still the cold War era I'd probably be carted off for questioning now as a communist sympathiser :p.
Shame that tablet specs have gone backwards since the hudl2 and nexus, and cost just as much.
Besides the unnecessary political BS going on in here Huawei phones and tablets have a glaring technical downside for not buying. External storage like SD cards are only used for media storage, so no swapping apps over to the SD card when your starting to run out of app room on your internal storage. No idea why they decided to prevent this because it's pretty dumb.

Good price but I'm still hoping for the T5 32gb to drop a little more.2gb puts me off.

Google are now using GPS to monitor where we are going in lockdown.
Always have with anonymised data. You can turn it off. Huawei is an extension of the Chinese state and communist party.

China has been waging a covert war on the west for years. Data being a small part of it, economic also. Don’t use Facebook. But people seem to disregard China as a threat. Look at Covid-19, covered up. 3,000 dead completely untrue. See Andrew Neils recent tweets. List goes on. It’s not paranoid average joe they are after but a wider influence and takeover.

My Huawei tablet is the best tablet I have owned. It is a T3 8 with only 16GB storage and 2GB of RAM and the issues that causes, but the battery life is epic and I have not seen any slowdown in usage in the 18 months I've had it at all, so the OS is really solid. It replaced a Lenovo S8 which was the worse tablet I had owned even though Spec wise it is superior, the battery life was atrocious and the OS ground to halt really quickly.
Still only 2GB. Basically an unusable spec these days. It'll be a frustrating few months using this until it finally gets dumped.

I saw you mentioned that on the other deal. I don't think you can claim this as being unusable as you have no idea what people want to use it for. This device is perfectly fine for browsing, emails and some gaming.

The war is not just one way, surely you concede that Facebook, Google, Microsoft etc etc are in some way pawns of the west just as china has its own. Remembering that Chinese systems mostly use Android/Google. Always use a good VPN, always close apps that you are not using and try your best Not to use Google any more that you now have to, as surely that and Android are our biggest data threats.

Until you decide you want to move from one of those tasks to another and immediately run into a hang, force stop, restart wall.

If somebody is looking for something for kids though it's not such a bad tablet. Should be at least £40 cheaper these days though.
