AO are advertising it with a Full HD+ screen ? It must be a mistake in their description.
Doesn't take a memory card either
Why oh why don't they make these things work forward facing speakers

AO has that wrong, it can take up to 128gb microSD cards.

I bought one the other day for my mum. The screen resolution is just fine for watching catchup tv, videos, surfing the wed and playing the silly candy crush sort of games she seems to be addicted to. It feels really nice, well built and responsive.

My mum will be very happy with her Mother’s Day present and to ditch her old tablet for this!

And yes it does accept a Micro SD Memory Card up to 128 Gb
Is there not also a 10% of code for AO? I'm sure it was yesterday, but it's definitely 10% off in ebay. Just received a code notification little while ago...hence making it near £90, so cheaper than the others.

missus needs a new tablet, so perhaps this can be a gift from the kids for mothers day. reviews look good. She has a 256gb card in her lenovo tablet, and i know they normally do support higher cards but dont state them that but has anyone tried it?

Although it does take memory cards, the operating system doesn't let you transfer apps to it.
My son needs a new tablet. Any thoughts on how much better this would be than an original Samsung Note 10.1? TIA

Depends on a few things:-
-What OS is your Samsung running?
-How much RAM does it have?
-How bloated is the version of Touchwiz on it?

If you're on Android Lollipop (5) and only have 1GB RAM, I would say this will be better for sure.

I think the code is just for ebay

You have the choice, less money for lower spec, more money for higher spec.

If they only made higher spec, higher priced tablets then people would complain it's too expensive, ergo you can't win.
Bought this for my son a while ago, great tablet but battery life could be better.

The ancient Hudl2 was often £99 and that spaffs all over the mediapads chebs. Tablets are shocking VFM these days, people are happy to pay £100 for mediocrity.

I don't claim to know the reasons why but I suspect Tesco stopped selling hudl's due to them losing money and maybe other makers found the same so now we're getting less spec for those prices. We've witnessed a downward price trend on pretty much all consumer electronics between 2007 and about 2016*.... whether it be tablets, SSD's, TV or other computer based products. As we see time and time again, huge production churns out ever cheaper products until many manufacturers finally realised there was no profit in giving stuff away (shock horror). Throw in some other world events and the prices go up again.... then they go down again like we're seeing with SSD drives just recently.

It seems the roller coaster ride of technology just keeps happening.

It still comes down to £100 isn't actually very much for a 10" tablet even at this spec but yes, a couple years back we didn't know how good it was.

*we've actually seen a downward price trend on pretty much all electronics since they were sold.

This is exactly what I have noticed when after 7 years started to look for decent laptop. For the price I've payed then I couldn't find anything better or even similar specs today. Now looking for new tablet. Having two hudls still running strong after 3 years we get offers like this. You would think after so many years technology will do massive step and prices lowered...

The code was on the site as well. Maybe that was only for yesterday. Having said that, if it was only ebay, would it not work to just buy the tablet on ebay with the code? If its the same price that is.

Yep, it's only on their website. Dunno, if this was reduced on the site that day. Glad, I got got someone who works in currys . Is this not available from JL? Then it would come with 2 year guarantee

Don't think this is correct. You can shift certain apps to SD card, I have an old LG tablet with Lollipop 5.0 with 16gb and can transfer to SD.
If there are any owners of this tablet, please can you confirm if you can use SD card to shift apps that you have downloaded from Play store.

I have this particular tablet and can confirm that you can't. It's the Huawei operating system that is preventing this, not android.

You introduced three negatives in your introduction of a negative

A saving in battery power by not having to switch twice as many transistors.

Battery is lighter in weight as a result (power/weight ratio).

And is around 30% cheaper as a result overall.

Many thanks for confirming. I managed to speak to their UK tech team and the support engineer confirmed what you said. He said that the Huawei EMUI prevents apps being moved to SD, they have done this for improved stability. That's pants,so I have cancelled my Tesco Direct order. I can move most apps on my 4 year old LG 16GB tablet, the Huawei T3 10 is not a bargain after all.
What about this then: argos.co.uk/pro…069
Would this be anything close to Huawei ?

Good job and discovery.

I try to buy 32GB tablets and phone, rather than hoping to offload/move apps to SD by formatting SD for use as system storage (as opposed to data storage).

Is this the same? Thanks
2nd opinion please. I need a new tablet to take on holiday to watch films on the sunbed.
I usually just put the films on a stick and play via vlc media player. I dont use it for much else, i may look at the odd website.

I won't be adding loads of apps, maybe social media apps
This seems good enough to me, but my experience with tablets is bad.

Will these specs cut the mustard easily for my requirements?
