Really nice tablet, have it myself but be warned for apps and downloads you're limited to the 32gb internal memory. This Tablet will not allow you to install or move apps to an sdcard.
I like mine too & I bought one for a friend. I do get rotation problems with one or two apps but easily cured
Is the 32GB Amazon Fire HD10 for £104 not a better deal? The Fire also lets you increase storage at a later date

You can increase the storage on this one with an SD card. The only issue is you can't add apps on the card, but you can put movies, music, pictures, etc. So keep the internal storage for the apps.
I prefer an Android tablet rather than Amazon OS. Saying this, after the Huawei ban, even this has access to Google now, I dont know how will be in the future, and cant see how will get any updates. At the moment, you have more apps you can access on Huawei. An extra GB RAM on Huawei as well, which is important, however the Fire tablets are well optimised to work with no so great specs. Fire HD10 works better than Fire HD8 Plus, which has 1 GB RAM extra. Fire tablets have lots of bloatware, but Huawei has some too, this is why I prefer Lenovo.
In between these 2, I prefer the Huawei, however, for £30 less, the Amazon one it is probably better value.

That's not an Android tablet though (based on Android but heavily customised/crippled) - personally for me having tried the Fire tablets I don't like them and would prefer an Android experience. Each to their own though.

Fire tablets are absolutely horrific for software I have no idea why they bloat them so much..

Honestly they are a nightmare to navigate.

Can you not just change the launcher?

No - well not on my Fire HD 10 anyway (old version).

I never got it working properly on mine. Even using launcher hijack doesn't remove the fire launcher and you see it briefly every time you press the home key, so gave up on it eventually.

If there is another way that actually works I'd love to know!
Netflix in full HD?

You need a renamed version of launcher hijack

Using a T5 to post this. Great tablet. Does get monthly security/bug updates but stuck on Android 8 probably for ever if that's a problem.

Thanks but not working correctly for me. I get the annoying 5 second delay when pressing the home key, where the fire launcher is displayed.

Did you uninstall the original hijacker and then install the renamed version? It may also be something to do with your Fire aswell, I remember something about the current models being air tight for this sort of thing.

Yep, tried that thanks. Further research suggests it's due to the latest version of Fire launcher being able to detect other launchers. I've now successfully rolled back to an earlier Fire launcher version (using the Amazon Fire Toolbox) and other launchers seem to be functioning okay (for now!)
