That graph not quite accurate as I picked up mine on Amazon UK for £239 a while back and it then briefly dropped to £229.

Anyway, heat. This is good price for an amazing phone.

Yeah I've come across the odd discrepancy on Camelcamelcamel before, but gives a good ballpark figure for pricing history.
Looks decent phone for the money any recs

I've been looking for the past few weeks now and have finally bitten on this one.
How does this compare to realme Pro 6?

At a glance there not a lot between the two, I think this edges it though.

You won't regret it.

If you're looking for a case, this Spigen one is great: amazon.co.uk/dp/…6ZS

Comes with a factory-fitted screen protector but it's not that durable as mine has picked up a few scratches already despite being careful.

Cheers, had Spigen cases on my last few phones and can't go wrong for the price.
Thanks OP bought to replace honor view 20 which was a great phone was going to buy the honor 20 which was 279.99 on Amazon UK but this is the same phone virtually but has small better differences such as Volte used Monzo paid in EURO came in at just under 241 fee free. Great saving. Heat added

Thanks, glad someone else has benefited from it too.

Bought this phone earlier in the year (at a very similar price). Has been great so far, can't really fault it. Camera was good enought at this budget and it still remains quite zippy.

One thing I really like about this phone is the fingerprint scanner. Having used a few different phones nothing quite comes close to the speed of unlocking and accuracy of scanning. I find it far more reliable at unlocking then a Samsung S8/P30 and is more or less instant. Minor point on the surface of it, but makes a big difference in convenience of unlocking.

This is going to be a year old at the end of August. Though it’s not a reflection of both manufacturers, I would go with the Pro 6 in the hopes of getting updates.

I knocked mine off the couch onto laminate flooring the other day, it might have bounced off the PC desk a bit as well (metal legs)...
No damage at all to the case or phone luckily. I took the case off expecting to see smashed glass or something, but it was still perfect.

Yeah mine fell out my pocket onto patio face down and was fine thanks to Spigen case.

Only thing I have found is the factory-fitted screen protector seems to pick up a lot of scratches, but will swap for something better when needed.

Can't tell with mine, can't get the fingerprints off it! Looks like I need rubbing alcohol or something and I wash my hands often as well. It's like it has absorbed into the plastic. Once it gets too bad I'll take it off and won't bother with another one. Had a Smart Ultra 6 for nearly 4 years without one and there's not a single mark on the screen. It was never dropped from a great height though.

As a fellow owner, have you found a way to turn vibration off on calls and still keep the ringtone? I was looking for a while today and couldn't see anything other than Silent mode, and Vibrate in silent mode as options.

Smart Ultra 6, that's a phone I totally forgot I'd had.

Good phone for about 6 months but slowed down to being unusable, you did well lasting 4 years.

It does look good but think I'll stick with the nova. Does everything I need and still think it was amazing value for money.

It was alright for a few years for me and then yeah. Opening IMDB or something would grind it to a halt. The battery was only lasting about 8 hours if I was lucky as well. Got my £100 worth quite easily though!
Nova just arrived and I have to say I'm impressed, screen resolution is sharp and it operates as quick as lightening. Camera quality is top notch too.

The 10.1 update made the camera layout settings worse in my opinion. Used to be able to just select 48MP. It now defaults to 12MP and you have to manually select the 48MP from the 'MORE' option.
Still, it's an amazing phone for the money and as and you say, absolutely flies. Haven't had a single bit of lag on anything at all in the month I've owned it.
It's also been 100% stable software wise which is nice.

12MP pixel binned should* be better, but 48AI tales multiple photos and takes the best bits and merges them. I know what you mean.

How come the 12MP is better?
Cal_G08/08/2020 17:11

How come the 12MP is better?

48mp - 0.8um pixel size

12mp - 1.6um pixel size but at 12mp resolution only.

Larger pixel = more light

More light = higher quality photo.

Buttttt if you use 48mp mode in perfect lighting then you WILL get better quality. But equally if you use 12MP in good lighting it will be just as good but less ability to zoom in.

Thanks for the explanation man 👌🏻
Cameras really aren't my thing. I thought it was maybe defaulting to the 12MP to save storage space.
I've took shots of the same thing with both and they look similar. Couldn't really see any difference other than the 48MP being clearer when zoomed in. I'll probably stick to that.

Yeah mate will 48MP in theory should give more quality as there are 4 times as many pixels. But like you should you might only see this if you pixel peep (zooming in).

In short it's a cracking phone. If you can get a mini tripod, night mode pics give a nice high contrast type effect.
