£411 total cost after cashback and 12gb data on o2 is a crazy good price in my opinion

However if you are ok with claiming redemption cashback, there is a deal for £13 per month, minus the £80 cashback for a total cost of £232

For those who don't know, this is also known as a Honor 20.

Why Huawei decided to sell the same phone as both brands in the UK, is beyond me!

If you can get the £13 pm one sorted you can basically sell the phone and have a free 12GB data plan, heh.

They do that with all their phones, so it's nothing new if you know the brands.

But yeah, not a bad way of getting a phone worth £350 for £230 then keeping the 12gb contract ofr virtually free, or keep the phone as its a very decent spec phone for the price

To be fair, I know the Honor side pretty well, but Huawei quietly then introduce their own versions and they end up here.
You'd have thought they would get the whole Huawei do high end + Lites and Honor do the middle ranges in the UK but there we go!

Totally agree
I would be tempted but MPD have just rejected a cashback claim on another contract.

It's the first time it's ever happened (and we've had quite a few between me and my wife) but it has made me hesitant!
The Honor 20 deals from MPD are even better (it's £10.50 for the equivalent £13 deal here).

It's EXACTLY the same phone.

So...

Wow. Missed that!

You're right. Does come in cheaper with that. For raw power alone this is a cracking budget handset.

What was the reason given?

That based on my billing date I wasn't eligible.

I've called them and they've said it seems like a system error.

So you sent the wrong bill in?
Or their system is asking for the wrong bill (system error) which they'll no doubt apologize for and rectify.

Alternatively send them the bill their system is asking for.

They confirmed I submitted the correct bill but the system rejected it.

I don't see why you're hesitant then.
They've admitted that problem is on their side so they will pay.
It happens... Rarely though.
The matrix isn't perfect.

I'm hesitant because it's the first time I've had an issue and I want to see how it's dealt with!

Cool.
The hardest part is getting a company to admit that they're to blame.
Once that hurdle has been overcome... Happy days.
I wouldn't worry mate.
Keep us posted.

No, the honor 20 and this are virtually identical
No Google play store?

Yes this phone has Google services etc.
It looks like Top Cash Back also offer £42.42 cashback on new contracts. If that comes off you would then take your cost down to (£232 - £42.42) £189.58 or £7.90 a month over 24 months.

Can't be bad can it?

What have I missed? I don't see where you get the £232 figure from?
Oops, I missed the Huawei cashback.
If you don't need the 12GB of data and 3GB is enough, then click on 'View value deal' and there is an £11.50 per month option, bringing the total down to £151.90.

£11.5 x 24 = £276
Huawei Cashback - £80
TCB - £44.1

Total £151.9 (£6.33 per month)

Can't see that
They show you the best seller by default and for some reason the £11.50 deal doesn't appear on the list underneath.

If you click 'show value deal' shown in the image though...

Interesting. What device are you on?

I'm using Safari on a Mac.

I'm also not logged in to MPD and I cleared my cookies for MPD before hitting their site.

So there you go - there are some hidden cheaper options, as long as you're on a desktop browser!
