You better off getting the Honor 9 lite, which is basically the same phone, at £170 at the mo.

I think you're thinking of the honor 7x, this and the 7x have better specs than the 9 lite I'm afraid. Check your facts before you comment please.
Great phone. Bought mine last week with the £50 PayPal cashback deal off Huwaei
Bought this but I'm sending it back. Laggy at times, OS has uninstallable apps, music playback crashes when you open the camera. I tried to open the camera once and it took 30 seconds to respond frustrating.

Might try the view 10

Maybe you just had a poor model.
Anywho I have the view 10, and it has no issues, as one example, it has literally the quickest fingerprint scanner in the world.

Aww... Please accept my apologies, I was getting confused when I thought you were.

As a footnote question:
Are you the real chow yun fat?!
And if so, very pleased to meet you!

Do you have a smart watch, I have major issues with Bluetooth and this phone/my Huawei smart watch. It says it's connected but it still says can't reach Google on a regular occasion, I hope the view 10 with better hardware will acquiesce this issue

I have an LG smart watch which I haven't connected to this yet, just haven't gotten round to doing it, I've only had it for a week or so, so will do it soon, so sorry can't answer your question, but with the view 10 having better internals, it may be better, hopefully for you anyway.
Why not try the likes of a Nokia 8, which is very cheap at thee moment.

I have a P smart and it hasn't had any of the issues you have mentioned. Must be defective unit.
I have one, got it with the £50 PayPal credit, it does seem to heat up at times - I'm monitoring it in case its a malicious app, but performance wise, granted I never really pushed my OnePlus 3T - but I genuinely can't see any difference - I'm happy with it. But I
would suggest without the £50 off I'd go for the Honor 9 or buy it from Mobilephonesdirect - they're giving a massive cash back offer with it.

Wait for the £189 minus £50 deal or similar (links below) to return, then it's a good deal - at present it's just the normal price, sorry!

Have you tired getting the apps via the Amazon store? Also make sure you're up to date on the ones that you do have working. They can be a bit funny, I had the issue if I tried to use via the Google play store, on both S7 and P Smart.

My S7 screen went a few weeks ago and I wanted something cheapish (That wasn't refurb) so went for the P Smart. I'm quite happy with it, although I do miss how smooth the S7 was, as well as the screen. BUT for the cash I'm quite happy with it. I guess there's going to be some downers coming from an older flagship device that I got used too, to something not quite the same... The camera isn't half bad either, it made my shed hinge look almost arty #NoFilter

tried installing from Google play and amazon site direct via apk but phone still won't install any amazon apps.
Have this phone, paid £189 from AO (price matched to O2) ,just about to do the £50 claim.

I think the phone is brilliant for money, the screen is lovely and crisp.only got about 20 apps on it,very, very occasionally it might Dona micro stutter swapping apps,it's nothing really ,mates P10 lite does it,I think it's not long after it's been woken up.
Was looking at the honor 9 lite, for me,didn't like the blue, and glass back and plastic edge, downside is the p smart only has single front camera.internals ,software are pretty much same.
Might be worth paying a little extra for the honor 7x at Argos for 229.95 comes with 64gig and 4 gig off ram, got one for the wife seems happy with it definitely better then her faulty Nokia 5.
If you like the specs and interested in this Huawei device, don't go for this deal...

You can basically get an identically spec-ed phone with the Honor branding (which is a sub-brand of Huawei), in the form as the Honor 9 Lite for £55.02 less!

Yes they both have different bodies, but that is literally it, internally they are near enough identical!
(I'm happy to be corrected if there are any major differences...)

Both have the same HiSilicon Kiran 659 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, NFC, full HD+ 18:9 screens and 13MP+2MP rear cameras.
(Be aware if you do a search for reviews of the Honor 9 Lite, it might mention 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Storage, but this version is not available on the UK domestic market.)

Plus buying from John Lewis gives you a two 2 year warranty which is a bonus!

Totally agree with you. But I didn't post this as an honor deal, I posted this as its currently the cheapest, without the PayPal discount, which has now ended.

PayPal deal?

I make no reference to PayPal, the link to John Lewis is just a straight £169 for the Honor 9 Lite, and I am just highlighting to people considering this phone through the deal you have posted, they might want to consider the alternative for a near identical phone, to save £50 of hard earned money.

Don't be so protective, this forum is meant to be here to help people save money! I would understand if I posted an unhelpful comment, or was not backing up something I say.

I think you have read my reply wrong buddy, I agree that the honor 9 lite is exactly the same phone (just about) and I agree that it is better value to buy at £169.
All I meant was that this is the cheapest the p smart has been without the PayPal credit.

And i totally get that this is about saving people money, and myself love to find a cheap deal, but if someone really wants the p smart, then they should get this one.

Its really about choice!

Sorry for the confusion, and i appreciate you steering people in a cheaper direction.

Set up my smart watch last night, and I've had no problems with it thus far, no disconnections
And has stayed with Google all day, maybe it's the cheaper specs/internals of the p smart that is the problem.
