Why are hukd going crazy for this phone ? The specs are great but the reviews I've seen suggest the software isn't up to scratch and it produces photos that aren't as good as other flagship devices, what am I missing ???

Battery life is poor. Video on youtube.
Huawei really are killing Samsung and Apple right now. Their phones are quite simply the dog's gonads at a fraction of the price of the iPhone X or S9/S9+.

Agreed, whenever I think of getting e new phone, Samsung or apple don't even come in to my thinking.

That's just my opinion of course.

Battery lasts me around 24 to 36 hours based on normal use. If I limit gaming and browsing then it can last 48 hours

The general opinion of the reviews was they may have overrated the handset a bit rather than an average device.

7~8 hrs screen on time according gsmarena
Shame it's the Black colour - the main attraction of this phone is the unique Twilight colour.

Are you able to provide some evidence of your statement rather than just pointing to google? I.e any credible sources to this claim?

What I find quite frustrating about reading comments is peoples assumptions on things. If people are making a judgement based on the CPU calculations on battery life, they really ought to take into account that the phone is learning all the time based on your usage. Much like a car MPG calculator, the more it learns how your use the device, the more accurate the information it gives you will be.

I suspect the majority of battery life complainants will be from people who have checked the expected battery use after 1 day (a day when they probably couldn't put it down) and felt aggrieved with the stats.

Don't trust all those posts and articles on google that are easy to find by a few clicks and a simple search huh?

Reminds of that bloke in the pub back in the 15th Century. Someone was telling everyone in the pub about all the wonderful things they had just read themselves in the latest technology of the day and everyone was amazed. Apart from that one bloke sat in the corner who kept saying:

"Books? You don't want to believe anything you read in books - provide me with some reliable information from a town crier!".

What are you actually on about?!

Did you actually read my comment? If so, please re-read it and process it, then reply with a respectable reply rather than some garbage anecdote. Cheers!
Dont trust every comment... Or a review... Phone has been reviewed at 550 quid... Far too much for what u get but this deal is a bargain, got it for the missus, cam is comparable to even my pixel 2 xl in some pics, just switch off the AI as this is one of the useless features, battery life- its lastin nearly like 2 days.. what else would u expect? Most flaghips struggle to beat that heat from me OP, i was gonna post this last week but forgot, that's when i got mine
