What do you mean get warranty. All new phones have warranty from the phone maker. So what's the difference

The difference is taking your UK phone into a UK service centre or posting your China bought phone to China.

Have you ever checked the cost for a trackable (signed for) insured parcel to China? You will probably decide to throw the faulty phone away and buy a new one. Not to mention the possible turnaround being measured in months (if it ever gets returned).

Samsung offer worldwide warranty so just thought others phone company's did too. But your right Huawei do not.

Samsung warranty is actually regional as well, I know of people who bought elsewhere being referred to obtain warranty service from those Samsung subsidiaries (Samsung UAE and Samsung HK) in the past.

From the Samsung UK terms:
samsung.com/uk/…ty/

Consumers who are using a product in a country in the European Economic Area and Switzerland (“Europe”) which was first purchased in another country in Europe can obtain warranty services. The period of the warranty and the warranty service provided will be those of the country in Europe where the warranty claim is made.

When you buy a non-European device, it is not covered under our European Warranty Policy. In that regard, when making a purchase please do check that the device is a European model.

To make a claim under this warranty, end users must produce the original proof of purchase (i.e. when the product was originally sold to an end user).

samsung will try to get out of repairing your phone even if you purchased it in the same country!

I agree! Got a s9 with a battery that drains in half a day just sitting in my pocket and all they have done so far is fob me off with setting changes! Why should I buy a top of the range phone and turn everything down to get a day out of it! Phone is 9 weeks old!
Ah Samsungs battery trick, people are wise to that now. The xiaomi note 5 is 150 with 4000ma battery lasts a day half better than this cold from me
