This almost exactly the same as the Honor 7X, and it uses the same processor as the Honor 9 Lite.

I don't see how this is worth over £100 more, unless you desperately require a notch.
Guys, if you're going for the P20 lite, i'd say avoid it. It has the exact same SPECS as the HONOR 7X. Just a different screen shape and 1gb more ram. Not worth it imo.

Their pre-sale page is now up but the links to the "sellers" at £329 is not..

They also have the dual sim at same price, so be interesting if this price stays the same once the buy links go live all over the UK over bank holiday weekend & payday combined!!!!

P20, great phone, but think I will carry on saving up the shekels, for a treat on the Nokia 7 Plus or the View 10, not sure which yet now, as there is so much choice in the mid-flag(ish)ship range of models

EMUI
Maybe worth stumping up a few quid more for a Honor View 10?

Dont understand the EMUI dislike, seems great to me. Speedy, intuitive and fluent o.o?
Huawei are even worse at updating the OS/UI than Samsung. Whatever it comes with expect to be running that forever and you won't be disappointed.
Why spend so much on this? Rather get the Nokia 7 Plus. Will be far better a phone than this
Why are all the android phones going for the notch design smh. It's ugly af

The pro actually looked pretty good spec wise but why have a notch if you still have the bottom bezel with the home button? Stupid design. Should have put the home button at the back

Samsung did the exact same thing with the S8 and my battery life has been fine. Not sure why it being 2018 makes a difference?

Well, my S8's battery life is probably the worst of any phone I've ever owned.

I wouldn't mind so much if I could replace the battery easily, but they screwed us on that one. I'd much prefer function over form.

Oh I completely agree, the S8 doesn't have the best nor worst battery of any phone I've owned, it's just average I'd say. I came from an iPhone 7 so that might be why but at least iPhone batteries aren't too difficult to replace when worn out.

My favourite Samsung was the Note 4 as I had the external battery charger and 2 spare batteries; was a very convenient setup. As nice as this S8 is to use and look at, a non replaceable battery at these 'modern prices' will definitely have me looking elsewhere for my next upgrade.

Yeah I agree. I loved my Note 4. I still have the spare batteries and charger for it. I hope they go back in this direction soon.
"This or the Nokia 7 Plus?" The 7 Plus has a full secondary telephoto lens on it whereas the 2mp secondary camera here seems a token gimmick if I'm honest (and similar setups in other Huawei/Honor phones seem to confirm that. Of course what pictures they both produce remains to be seen, specs never tell the whole story. But I'm far more interested in the 7 Plus potential than I am in this.

I'll be honest, I find their "Lite" branding riding the coat tails of their "hero models" really cynical.

I'd go for the 7 plus, seems like a lot more bang for your buck.. But it's a personal choice,

but judging by your comment you've already made up your mind.

Yes - I was answering the question posed previously in the thread. I could have my mind changed, but I think the likely winner is clear.

That said, I may end up getting the XA2 non-ultra in the end. My wife's Nokia 5 has put me off them a bit, Android One aside. It freezes every so often, the SMS app stopped receiving messages which is a known issue and the camera app broke with the Oreo update - she's had to use a 3rd party one which still seems problematic. Think their software team need a kick up the bum...

XA2 are on sale in a few places at the moment, you can't go wrong with a Sony.
Just my opinion people.
