How exactly does the airtime contract get cancelled when it's a 24 month contract and you're only paying off the device plan?
£699? i make it £405

£69.99 + (24x£14) = £405
And cancel the 24x£36
Please do correct me if my sums are wrong
Looks like the mods have been tinkering it was correct when I posted it

Yes, that's right. Otherwise the Pro version deal would be better, which can't be possible:

You have the right to cancel the 24-month contract within 14 days: o2.co.uk/hel…icy

But as you'll be paying off the entire device plan at the same time (as we normally do on HUKD with these deals), the phone itself is yours to own from that point forward.

Nice
I do see a influx of these headphones and lot of people will be selling them decreasing it's value as people that are selling driving the price down further and further.
The terms and conditions of getting the headphones states that if phone is cancelled you can't get them. As you keep the phone would you still get the headphones as you are cancelling the contract and you can't claim the headphones until 15 days after buying it?

Ooooh this or wait for the one plus 6! Decisions decisions
Quidco probably a no based on these bits in their terms:

Cashback will only be paid on contracted devices if the plan is active for at least 6 months
Cashback will not be paid on cancelled contracts
Cashback will not be paid if you choose to pay off the cost of your device early and upgrade to a new device. Cashback will not be paid if you cancel a contract and start a new one to gain additional cashback

Wow I didn't even think this would be possible, I figured the device plan price was, in some way, subsidised by the airtime one.

This feels like a loophole, a good one at that. Thanks.
this deal will not include the headphones because it states that if a customers cancels the pre-order or returns then it will not include the qualifying product.
Will just need to pay the airtime contract until headphones arrive then cancel the contract.

But you are not returning the phone or cancelling pre order you are keeping phone
Also worth noting if taking this out it opens up a new credit agreement (which you'd pay off in full anyway) which means the usual credit score check. Worth bearing in mind if you are about to apply for a credit card/loan/mortgage any time soon or applied to any recently.
ok trying to go for this

do you need to credit check before £30 kwid is applied (discount)
whats the exact tarrif package i need to select

thanks
I've done the refresh pay off trick a couple of times and never had a problem
My plan is to sell the phone for what I pay then keep the headphones
So are you saying that if you pay off the balance of the phone and then you can cancel the 24 month airtime contract?
is this for the pro or non pro model? i dont see the said tarrifs

Yes, it is a 'loophole' many of us have been 'exploiting' for a long time, so O2 are well aware of it!
This is the one I'd gone for a few years back: Hauwei Ascend P6 2GB RAM 8GB ROM £96 @ O2 [Refresh]
You will have to keep the contract alive for a while because you can only start claiming from 20th of April onwards on huaweipromo.co.uk/gb/…ome now, this could be one or two months bearing in mind you will need to give 30 days notice which could change quite a lot if £70 worth of airtime is added to this price making it more like £475.

HAving used iPhones for the past 5-6 years I’m due an upgrade. But don’t fancy the big price tags this time. I’m not s heavy phone user - FaceTime, Wattsapp, camera and browsing is the main activity. I like the minimalist bezel design in this phone - would this be worth moving from iphones? Anyone recently moving away from iPhone, I would be keen to hear from.
That's a really good deal. It does say that headphones are subject to availability - so if enough pile on these deals, that might be an issue - but at £400 I'd probably bite if I needed a new phone

Still go through quidco or TopCashback just because it says it won’t pay out doesn’t always mean it won’t it’s a bonus if it does
O2 might charge you for one month airtime which is £50 for this contract, I did O2 refresh deal last year and I had to pay one month line rental before they canceled my airtime contract so think about adding that to handset final price.
Is the 30 pound applies automatically I can’t see it
