Saw this deal as looking around as Mrs is nearly ready to tell 3 to do one... Our maximum is £33 pm with no upfront payment... If anyone knows of a similar spec phone with this allowance of data for less and not on the 3 network a link in the comments would really be appreciated as we'd ideally like a deal at sub £30 but if we have to stretch to £33 we'll have to.... Looks like a good price. Considering I am about to pay £30 a month for a sim only from Vodafone.

Exactly... If I was just to get a sim only deal for ultd mins, texts and 30gb of data, that's around £20 pm. So £13 x 24 months works out to about £312 for this phone which I think is pretty good but this is just my opinion

Odd. Must have just changed to the worse deal
This deal comes up regularly via resellers (mobiles.co.uk, buymobiles.net etc.) so it's not exceptional. I've been on the same deal since May - despite being the Essentials plan, I get over 100mbps.
I thought that was a good deal since I’ve spent the last two weeks looking round for deals on this phone, don’t understand why it’s cold!!

That is actually a good. How did you manage to get that deal?

I have been with EE since the time of Orange and at the time of upgrade last week they said they can't give me any discount as none available. So I ended up transferring my number to PAYGO 02 to keep number and now looking for a deal elsewhere. They only thing is I would like BT sport with any EE deal if I do go back.

35314727-QGMN8.jpgHandset cost of £39

I think it's been this price for ages to be honest which makes it an average deal to my mind, the price hasn't really dropped probably for to a) it being a popular phone and b) no other decent phones coming out recently. I'd expect this to come down in price in the next month or two with the new iPhone out and Pixel 3 out soon.

Why on earth would you pay that much for sim only??

Because I need a company that doesn't rip me off in places like Dubai and Canada. Three has silly rates there at £6 a mb!

This package charges just £6 a day in Dubai for data etc, and includes the USA and Canada with 4G.

I can't find anything else cheaper.

Fair point mate, didn't expect that answer but fair one...

No worries... Unsure whether to bite at this price as it'll be a bit of a stretch for us or wait a month or 2 to see if it drops to a more comfortable price for us around £30 or below.

I know exactly what you mean, as I've had the same quandary. I know I'm never going to get anywhere near the 30gb of data usage. But the lower data deals out there at the moment aren't that much cheaper.

The 30gb is a kind of safety net as the Mrs uses her phone quite often for tethering. Mostly round 18-20gb a month but there's odd occasions when she uses more and nowadays if you go over your data allowance that's where you get screwed, as you say for a couple of quid more for peace of mind you've got enough data it's worth it... Just hope this phone, plan drop to our more comfortable price of £30pm

There are better deals out there. Like £100 upfront and £23 a month but this is still a good deal as it's with EE and they are the most expensive as they have the best internet soeed/ coverage.
You will not find a better deal with EE. So on that note it gets a thumbs up

Thanks for posting this. It is certainly the "best" deal I have seen for the P20 Pro.

Does anyone that have this on EE tried Wi-fi calling. Random googling has shown that it is very flakey.

Hoping that 3 match this deal at some point.

Where I live 3 reception was awful. No reception in any pubs / hospitals, shops. There response was to tell me to connect to free public WiFi.... Needless to say I told them to do one when my sim free contract ended. Where as Vodafone reception in in 9 months I've been with them has been faultless
