Wow.

No sd slot or headphone jack. Now they're just taking the p*ss

128GB internal storage is definitely more than enough for the vast majority of users. It also comes with a USB Type C to 3.5mm jack adaptor in the box.

Wow.
Good price but I reckon they have mixed it up with the P20 (non pro version). Doubt op will get that price

Oh, sorry for the confusion, I was talking about the hawk by ee for £119.99, it's a steal

Amazing if anyone manages to get even one at that price!

Price is incorrect. So no deal et all.

Only if you need more than 128GB storage, or removable storage, or use wired headphones.

I don't. So it didn't matter in the slightest.

+1, they've obviously not checked their prices in that store as they changed as soon as stock came available

Not much use if you want to charge your phone while you're listening to music.
Nearly as good as the O2 refresh/headphone deal.

Half decent Bluetooth headphones for a tenner should suffice.

This. If you are needing more than 128gb storage you are using your smart phone wrong.

In regards to no headphone jack, Bluetooth devices are coming along way now, it's the nature progression.

I have the Mate 10 Pro which both of these 'problems' and I haven't once missed either of them.
so if its an error the there is no deal here then

I've had this phone for over 3 weeks, didn't realise there was no headphone jack as I use Bluetooth earphones on my mobiles.

I have bluetooth headphones but my car doesn't play music over bluetooth so I have to plug an AUX cable into the headphone jack. I also like to have my phone charging on a long journey as having the screen constantly on for maps drains the battery. For this reason I just wouldn't buy a phone without a headphone jack.

I do agree this is a good deal for a Huawei P20 though so I voted it hot, it's just not for me or others who value headphone jacks. If they want to get rid of the jack then fine but at least put two USB ports on it.
Apparently comms went out, there was a pricing error. Seems like this store hasn’t changed the price.

Almost all new phones will come without headphone jack. Bluetooth is the way now. Besides for your long journey you could just buy a bluetooth adaptor (quite cheap). Most new phones come with really good battery life. I would be surprised if you had a problem with this Huawei phone losing battery fast even with Maps.

Putting two usb ports on would take up just as much space as the usb port and headphone jack they'll have saved space by removing! I've just had a quick Google and usb splitters are pretty cheap. Shame they don't put one of those in the box.

Fair points. I could probably get by without a headphone jack if I had to.
No deal then, should be expired.
Great deal if you can get it, but when will Three start selling PAYG?

Charge it at bedtime, or listen to the actual World for half an hour now and then.

This phone has 2 day battery life.
Even while using maps / music this and the Mate 10 Pro don't drain fast.
Wrong price definitely. They must have changed the order of the handsets on the bay and forgot to change pricing. £799 +£10 top up should be

All phones have 2 day battery life when you first get them. My Nexus 6 did too. After a year or two you'll find the battery life is much less than that. Or worse, the battery will fail completely and leave you without a phone for a week or two as mine did in the middle of a holiday. Phones where you can't easily pop the battery out are another gripe of mine but I've come to accept that's the norm now.

I'm not sure why there's so much defence of the lack of 3.5mm jack in this deal, removing things isn't a positive thing.
It's a great phone, been using it 2 days so far so good. Zoom is great plus image stabilisation
Is this the new one? I've just been asked to review wthis by the Insiders but they wanted 400 deposit! Has it dropped that much already?
Are you bots voting hot for something non existent or just fools?
Pricing error. Not a deal unless someone posts a receipt.

You know... I really don't like this excuse which I hear over and over again. If you spend this much money on a phone. As other manufacturers have shown, putting a 2nd SIM/ SD Card slot in doesn't take any more space, and even a headphone jack seems to fit in many other models that are as thin if not thinner. So my take is the only reason Huawei are doing this ONLY to be like Apple. Just remember when it comes to options... you may not need it today but may need it tomorrow and this is not a cheap phone so you are probably planning on using it for a while if you buy it.

I get your point but as time goes on Bluetooth headphones, bluetooth car stereos, 4G coverage and cloud storage are only going to get cheaper or more widespread. If someone can get by on these specs today then they'll get by in the future as well. If people don't want phones with these features they won't buy them and the manufacturers will respond. If they keep buying them then they won't be making a comeback.
Seen this price in other branches too

Bluetooth Aux will solve your problem.

I use this:

Kinivo BTC455 Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit for Cars with Aux Input Jack (3.5 mm) - Supports aptX and Multi-point Connectivity amazon.co.uk/dp/B00JK0G8KC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_V9y5Ab1ENW3N

It is compatible with AptX for great Bluetooth audio quality.

Use a USB-C to C cable to fast charge your device in the car.

Get yourself one of these amazon.co.uk/Ank…car . Way better than having to plug a cable in every time anyway.
Seems car gadgets have come a long way since I bought my car, I am tempted to buy that Anker one. Not sure I'd spend £30 on a Kinivo one as I could buy a new radio with bluetooth/USB etc for that price.

You know what I don't like? Condescending tech nerds who think their opinion is anything more than a meaningless voice in a noisy crowd.

8 of my past 10 phones have lacked expandable storage. So I would advise you don't attempt to lecture me on what my requirements are. I know full well what I need. No excuses, just personal preferences. I'm far from alone in finding expandable storage and headphone jacks superfluous. I don't specifically prefer a phone without them, but their absence is fairly meaningless to me.
