Exactly. I see stock wise they seem to be ok since the price seems to be holding from yesterday

Regardless of whether you think the phone itself is good value from the RRP (I personally think £799 was overpriced and £630 is a good spot for it), it's £160 off everywhere else and the seller has solid feedback.

This place is barking sometimes!

What a way to put someone off....
Good deal OP but with these phones, it's often better to haggle with the networks to get it with a good sim plan for £100- £200 more. Great if you need the phone without a plan though so voted hot.
Wow great price. Wish I had that money to spare. I am sick of using ios.

I kind of agree, but I'm a sim free man, that way I can change out my sim as and when, but I understand what you mean. Cheers
The reason this is going cold is because many of the networks are offering this same phone with a 4-10gb data plus unlimited plan over 24 months at around the same price.

I negotiated mine (still incoming due to stock back-order with Vodafone) for £143 upfront on a 9gb + unlimited £22.50 plan over 24 months (£540) and managed to squeeze in on the last day of the free headphones deal.

So P20 Pro phone (£639 outright) plus Bose QC35ii headphones (£299-ish) plus 9gb & unlimited 24 month plan (say £240 @ £10 per month) is around £1178 value ... for £683. Even without the headphones, getting the same phone for £143 outright on that plan for only £40 more than this deal is hard to pass up.

That's why this is cold. At the moment, the P20 Pro is much, much better value on a plan than outright.

Still the cheapest sim free, not everyone wants a contract.
Indeed. But it's hard to make the case for a phone outright that's basically the same price as that phone with 2 years of decent-spec service essentially for free.

The problem is clearly that Huawei have been pricing the phones aggressively with the networks but the outright prices don't reflect such. Amazing though this phone is, they should really be sub-£600 for the P20 pro, and around £450 for the P20, and £300 for the P20 Lite ... they need a generation of high end phones at slightly lower prices to really gain mind-share in the broader public. They have the hardware and the software (relatively at least - no worse than TouchWiz), but a lot of people still don't think of them on the same level.

It's a tough choice though, because at the same time, their hardware is already good enough to compete, and they should therefore price accordingly. Maybe £599, £459, and £299 would do it. Anyway ...

Agree on the £599, £459, but the P20 lite should be under £200
I originally put £249 for my suggested price but changed it. They really want to be upselling people to the P20 model, given the superior hardware. It'll give better consumer impressions over the couple years of use leading to larger brand recognition and respect thus sales. But yeah, probably right.

You're right, but the phone shouldn't even exist when you have cheaper phones 7x, 9 lite, mate 10 lite all doing the same job, but such is Huawei pushing out all the same spec, same looking and performing phones all in a short period. Xiaomi springs to mind
I can see why their branding team wanted it to be included, but I completely agree. The P20 and P20 Pro are a sufficient combination together.

Yes, BUT China is the manufacturing base of the world.

In 10 years Huawei will be as good as Apple or even better, but not just yet.

Good competition is always welcome 🏻especially when it drives the prices down for us. But with Brexit coming unlikely. Hopefully im wrong.
Looks like this has gone

Best option now to get this handset only?
