This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

I tried to get the £100 off handset price deal, and like a lot of other people failed. hotukdeals.com/dea…103

So just been on chat and got the P30 lite for £135 with free ear buds (redemption).

Deal was:
Upfront cost £70 (waived) so nothing to pay.
Device plan £3.75 X 36 months (totaling £135.00)
Tariff 100GB £31.00 x 36 months

Confirmed on chat that I can pay off the phone tomorrow (£135) and cancel (over the phone) no questions asked, nothing to pay and I keep the phone.

Phone due tomorrow!

Eventually I gave up and cancelled under 30 days notice period which meant that I had to pay 1 month line rental

Using the new sim, if you text 'INFO' to 85075 you get an automatic replay from O2 stating you're within you're cooling off period and are free to cancel. It the goes on to say if you want to keep the device it will cost you £***. If you paid out right when ordering it'll say you owe £0.00.

I copied and pasted it into the chat.

It's hard for them to argue with a message from their own company.

Just asked what offers were available on this handset, they offer it with 70 quid up front, I said that's too much, so they waived it - no haggling!

Yep. Like every damn chat/phone call it depends on who you talk too :/
dangerous, credit record hit, trouble cancelling the deal...be careful with these dodgy O2 refresh ones....

This gets mentioned every time but it wasn't really an issue for me. The guy cancelled the contract immediately with no questions. (It clearly states when you buy the phone "1 month contract") yes, they did take the 1st month payment anyway (which I wasn't too bothered about it was only £17 and I saved so much on the phone) but I got on live chat anyway and they refunded it.

The main thing is it clearly states it's 1 month contract so as long as you're prepared to pay that then I'd go for the deal.
Did u chat through whatsapp

If you settle the finance, you own the device and do not need to give it back.

Make sure you settle the complete outstanding finance and then as soon as it is settled state you want to now cancel the Refresh element of the Contract.

Then shove the book down their throats if they try to throw it at you. They will not let you pay off the device in full the first day as they say it's to encourage customer's to remain on the contract. Just call back the following day and pay the remainder of the finance.

If you don't get an automated email/sms advising of cancellation call back and hit the roof.

** UPDATE ** Just to add to the above for those who are struggling to get the £100 off instore instead of £70 online when you go into the store state you have done a chat with a digital advisor who has advised they can do £70 however any store can do £100 off. They would be more inclined to go through the deal.

If you walk out without the deal it will affect their Footfall to Conversion rate it's in their interest to give you the deal.

Tried online and only deal I was offered was 3 months free airtime,

Tried phoning also and they will not knock any money off either.

I've tried chat twice now, and they say they can't do anything now on this phone. Been in store today too, and the guy showed me the discount matrix (was posted on the other thread for the in store deal) which now shows that the P30 Pro / lite are both excluded from any extra discounts.
*update

Phone came yesterday morning, mid morning called and paid off the device plan (£135). Left it a couple of hours and then went on chat to cancel the tariff contract - took me about an hour
39425540-1WynP.jpg to cancel but they did with no issues.

As I am within the 14 days cooling off period the will be a minimum charge (one days contract around £1), if any.

Plus it let me use the 6 months free Amazon music unlimited this morning (after a got confirmation all had been cancelled)!
