I know there have been some cracking deals on this phone itself lately on o2 refresh.
I know that refurb deals don't always go down that well here either.
However if you're willing to put 10 mins a month aside to download and then upload your bills to mobilephonesdirect then personally I think this is a steal for a brand new P30 with 30gb data per month on o2.

Standard cost is £33 a month for 24 months = £792
Redepmtion through mobile phones direct is £16.50 a month = £396
Minus potential topcashback of £44.10 = £359.10 or an equivalent monthly cost of £14.66

Not worth if it if you don't want the hassle of cashback and redemption through mobile phones direct and topcashback but personally I think it is in this case unless you're going down the o2 refresh route to get the device and already have the contract you want.

My wife's on a MFD cashback deal and it's been pretty straightforward. Upload a pdf of the receipt to their web form and it's all processed through.
Voted hot but please note that this is the p30 and not the p30 pro.

How often is upload required please, every month or between 9-18 months (every 3months)?

Do you know if handset is unlocked too (is it useable on plusnet if known?). Thanks for anymore info, appreciated.

It think it differs depending on frequency of cashback. Hers is every 3 months.
I don't know about locked handsets - I didn't think that was a thing anymore.
Not bad, after cashback it only works out £100 for the airtime over the 24 months if you compare it to the refresh deals about. Wish I could justify it but my Lenovo p2 still doesn't seem like it's gonna give up anytime soon! I barely get through 1gb a month so the extra airtime is overkill over my current offering from plusnet.

That's a high level of self control.

Haven't Google services been discontinued on Huawei devices?

It's only for the newly created phones. The old ones are still entitled to updates.

This is the most recent statement:

So older phones get updates but beyond that...

Very helpful. So p30 Pro should also be okay?

Just cracked screen on my Lenovo p2... Blue/purple screen in renders it useless.

A learned skill of self restraint

I've been really lucky with mine. Dropped it from chest height onto concrete numerous times getting it out of lockers, flung it across the room making my bed, threw it as I tried to get a grip when it's slipped out of my hands to name a few. I've gone through 3 glass screen protectors but still. Durability aside its definitely beginning to show its age even forcing it onto android 7 with the global rom. Still being on Micro B rather than USB C is also a bummer.

From my reading of that - yes.
Looks like an extra 100 cashback also available now direct from Huawei
Even more of a deal!
