Can you please verify the warranty when it arrives at Huawei's 'Warranty Period & Support Service Query' here: consumer.huawei.com/uk/…ry/ - thanks. If all good, I might take a chance on them next time, rather than EGC.

No, I bought a Huawei (P9 Plus in 2017) from another region (non-Euro) & the warranty said it was only valid in that region. Things could have changed since then though, & may have become more 'global' now.

This is the VOG-L29 variant, it's a hybrid dual sim model as in EITHER 2 X nano SIM cards OR 1 X nano SIM card + 1 X NM memory card

When using both the sim cards and no NM card, the sims are dual standby, they are not dual active sims.

I did have the single sim L09 which also can be used with 1 X NM, but found the dual sim one easier to use instead of swapping sims over all the time!!

Got 497gb of free space on my L29, so should imagine the 128 less the OS will be about the same difference ratio with the apps on it.

8gb ram means NOTHING needs to be shut, even with 45+ apps left running and open !!

While the online warranty system might say yes, my experience is that Huawei warranty still require you to send in proof of purchase with your device when sending for repair, so they could still reject your warranty at that stage for buying at a store not in the countries above

No ? Is silly Jay... especially on here!!

With a dual standby SIM setup, there is one singular modem for the receive elements of each device, with dual standby, you can only put the phone down to receive the other incoming call, with a dual active sim setup, you get 2 modem elements so can use both at the same time, eg: a data SIM & a voice SIM or 2 voice Sims

No update as of yet but have noticed something...

The models we purchased are the 8GB models. last week the 6GB models were priced at £700 and the 8GB at £615..

Today the prices are reversed and the 8GB is £700 with the 6GB being £618..

Looks like they may have been marked the wrong way round.. hoping this isn't going to cause us any problems, as my invoice shows the 8GB description and SKU.

I also got an email on Saturday without chasing them or trying to prompt, saying that I should have shipping confirmation details by tomorrow morning. Tbf, communication from them has been decent so far so I'm hoping all smoothly and I may have a phone by end of week, start of next.

OK guys, I got an email today, stating that their Manchester warehouse was actually out of stock and they are waiting on stocks being replenished, they advised they will honour the price regardless but there may be a wait.. I have opted to cancel my order even though I am in no rush, I just feel uncomfortable now because it seems this could of been advised last week.

I apologise to anyone who ordered through this deal, I genuinely though they were in stock, as that is what the site led me to believe.

TBF though the comms from them have been very good.
