I'd assume looked to Vodafone, they will unlock it for free straight away as you will be a customer
Absolutely stonking deal! Any way of buying the phone without the top-up? Only ask as I already have a Vodafone contract...

Sorry, I meant via Vodafone - i.e. bypassing the need to purchase a top-up sim card. I am suspecting not!

More RAM and storage as standard, comes with 10 out of the box, and has two snazzy assistants now, Google and Huawei own

I bought a phone from Vodafone recently, they refused to unlock it until the sim in it had been active for 30 days. Bought a cheap unlock code from ebay instead of waiting.

No, you have to our chase with the top up mate

Dammit. I was just waiting for live chat in case there was a way to bypass it. To be fair, it comes with 10Gb on the SIM so can pop it in the car or something!

Thinking about pulling the trigger on this, finally. I've been looking around the £400 mark on eBay for the 'older' P30 Pro, but with the sale of the watch, I'd rather pay the extra £60 odd and have the newer version.

Plus, I rather like the silver! As much of a fingerprint magnet it'll be...
Also 5G

Try contacting them via chat.

Just waiting on it now. It's only a tenner, but seems a little silly if I already have a Vodafone contract. Will let you all know when I eventually get through

EDIT: Not entirely sure why the kiss, must have been automatic

Had a look on voda site and specs still say 8gb. Am I mistaken or?
Platform
  • EMUI 10.1
  • HUAWEI Kirin 980 5G
  • Octa-core (4 x 2.6GHz & 2 x 1.92GHz & 4 x 1.8GHz)

from vodafone website
How come no where seems to be offering it on contract?

That's a mistake.
Voted hot for what it is, but not sure its worth the bump over the old edition at 128gb. I'm happy with 2nd hand phones. Especially ones I pick up from cex which have perfectly good batteries for 330ish.
Ah sod it, wifes on vodaphone PAYG will get it for her first. If she no likey I'll have it, if she wants to keep it (I imagine so as she has an old honor 8 ) then I'll just have to buy another

Does topup come separate or is the sim pre topped up?

If it's the same 'frosted' effect as the P40 Pro then it's actually pretty good at hiding the fingerprints.

It's a good enough deal, as you should be able to get £140 for the watch pretty easily.

I've had the P30 Pro, P40 Pro and Mi Note 10. Of the 3, I'd actually say the P30 Pro is just about the best all-rounder.
P40 Pro has best CPU but I couldn't stand no Google services, and the camera wasn't as good as I thought it should be, and that giant hole in the screen was a terrible choice.
Mi Note 10 has the more impressive camera, but the CPU (only very) occasionally lets it down.

P30 Pro not the best performance or camera, but taken as a whole feels less of a compromise.
kris123403/06/2020 12:58

there is mistake on voda website then

Definitely a Vodafone mistake
ive just contacted Vodafone they are locked out of box if that helps anyone
Any reason to believe Google services will get chopped from this when Trump realises Huawei have sneaked this one out after the ban?!

Nop
Thanks, looks like a great deal. MrSwitch, would you recommend this over the Samsung S10 plus deal posted the other day - £520 - from BTshop? Priorities for me are camera quality and battery life. Thanks!
