The image you've posted and on AO's website is of the original P8 Lite, released in early 2015. The specs on the site appear to be for the 2017 version.

As long as it's the 2017 model, then it's a good deal. If it's for the earlier model, it's as cold as ice.

Nothing wrong with the original model however, it's just the 2017 is a lot faster and is a great phone at this price point.

I got a couple of the 2017 P8 Lites for family members and friends back when EE had them for £130 a little while back, and all of them love the phone. I'd go so far as to say it's probably the best ~£150 phone on the market.

Thank you preecey. I have submitted a question on the AO website asking if it's the 2017 model. I'll update this deal when I get an answer from AO.

1% cashback through Quidco or Topcashback.

I've had the 2017 for a couple of months, it's been terrible. Constantly lags, keyboard and camera take an age to open. From the good feedback from other users, mine doesn't seem a typical case.

I don't understand Huawei calling it p8 lite 2017, it's just confusing. Why should we check the model number to see what we are buying.

It's a common theme, Samsung do it with their A and J series models. If you type 2015, then 2016 and 2017 in to gsmarena search you'll see Samsung have the exact same model numbers but with a year date to indicate a newer model.

One handy trick, if you don't like the default multiple home screens for "all apps", you can change a setting to switch it to an all apps button in the tray, leading to a nicely indexed and searchable app list.

A somewhat annoying anti-feature, it lacks "adoptable storage" unless you bash a couple of settings with ADB but then it will not report space accurately under "Storage" - file managers can generally report space after a fashion.

I agree, but it is probably the worst phone I ever purchased.
The lag is the main issue, it sometimes took four or five seconds for apps to switch or open afresh, the same was also true of the on screen keyboard appearing when you clicked on a text entry box.
Bluetooth performance was atrocious too, it would regularly lose connection to our car kit and Beats Pill speaker in the house at random even when less than a foot away.
We bought it a month or two ago from CPW for a similar price as this and was returned after a week of putting up with it due to the above.

I bought the p9 lite from ee for £140 a while back. So I don't consider this to be that great of a price really.

Needs expiring sold out

This is good, but a shame the p10 lite deal isn't on still.

We got that for £199 and it's brilliant. However this will be a good phone as the P series of Huawei phones are really good.

Sorry but the P8 lite 2017 is widely acclaimed to be better than P9 lite, check the reviews, it is a much newer model.

Following a factory reset and pain of having set everything back up, in general the phone is now a lot faster. The camera still randomly lags though.
