Good phone, = to an s4. HEAT added

Can this be unlocked easily?

we need to put the big value bundle?

Good price for this but it's not a great phone.

I got it for 85 cpw upgrade back in February. I am a bug fan of Huawei and had been using their devices for years prior to this it was pretty under whelmed by the phone it was really laggy ended up selling it. It also feels very cheap and plasticy barely any weight to it.

Very Good Deal.. It has Octa-Core processor.

very good phone and still working order after fully sank

This is Vodaphone. CPW phones are unlocked, but iPhones.

Me and the missus have been using these phones for the last 6 months and i can honestly say its a fantastic handset . I feel it has a premium look and feel to it , very snappy and a great camera . I have had i phones , Sony and Samsung and hand on heart this phone competes with any of my previous smartphones . I have mine in white and never once been dissapointed with it ....huawei are huge players now in the mobile market and the number one choice in China ....and those guys know their gadgets !! Awesome price for an awesome slimline phone ....i may buy a spare at this price . BUY BUY BUY !!!

this a good phone?

That's a yes AND a no, to alllll previous locked/unlocked phone comments previous or otherwise.

CPW phone's were formally ALLLLLLL UNLOCKED as standard!, and have for for the best part of more than 1 Decade+? (UNTIL of late, that is ... )

About 6 months or so ago now, alllllllll CPW phones are now LOCKED AS STANDARD!, IRRESPECTIVE of what Network you choose to buy it on, AND LOCKED AS STANDARD!, IRRESPECTIVE of whether your choice of phone is an iPhone or not?, or whatever?.

ONLY CPW Pay & Go UPGRADES come as UNLOCKED AS STANDARD NOW?! (& that's it).

Straight up Pay & Go Phones do NOT/are LOCKED?! (standard ... )

That's literally the long and short of it really?.

ONLY their SIM-FREE Phones are UNLOCKED, because their obviously 'Network Independent' right? (so your therefore then obviously paying more for your phone/that privilege than you otherwise would have had to have, etc, etc ... )

It's NOT until these new UK Government Rules as per Mrs. May 'deal' with these Mobile Network Telecommunications Providers finally kick in on ..... will be FINALLY 'FREE' from this current/inevitable curse we're now allllll in, as per the Providers, or whatever?, so until then, then ..... (refer to some of the above)

OP .. it would kind of help everyone else, if in the first instance you mentioned CPW somewhere?, as the Merchant for your Deal, or whatever ...

No one is going to be able to search for this again come this time next week when they're looking for this again?, thanx. :-)

Yes, I agree with you, I have this phone also, and though I've NOT used it as yet too tough, it is a sexy bit of kit for sure!. :-)

Brushed Metal-finish, sexy Gold/Beige Colour, 1001 Cores (hahahaha), & .....

It definitely looks the part, feels the part, and from my little playing about with it, it looks like it also definitely perform the part too?, yep!, lol. :-)

Too many question marks and poor grammer

Not a bad phone and is equivalent to specs found on the Samsung S4. Similar to other posters I managed to get this deal back at the start of the year. I got it for £79 from a Vodafone store. I can confirm they actually do unlock for free. All it takes is a request via their online locking form.

I might be wrong but on the website it says £79 + £10 per month bundle (which renews automatically every month) as opposed to just a one-off top-up? if that's true, would I be able to cancel this automatic top-up soon after buying the phone? thanks

I was wondering the same. Its a 30 day rolling contract, so i assume you can cancel straight away and just have one month.

Original Poster

yeah as far as I know can cancel since its a rolling contract. don't know why these phone companies still insist on forcing topups on people since most people looking for off contract phones already have a sim from a previous contract or sim only deal

I'm looking for a phone for my youngest - would this work with Pokemon Go?

It has no gyroscope so the AR functions won't work. It also has terrible battery life, and Pokemon Go is a notorious battery drain so I would look elsewhere. That said the game will run fine. (I owned this phone and played Pokemon Go on it).

Xiaomi is the number one choice. The p9 lite is an absolute minimum nowadays I think you need to go to the 3gb ram version too. 2gb ram phones have had their day

Thanks for the info. Did you unlock the phone via Vodafone. Somebody mentioned that we have to wait 30 days before requesting for a free unlocking code. Can you please confirm?

Anyone know if I could I put a talk mobile sim in this?

Never assume anything. Especially with Vodafone who have a habit of charging after you cancel.
