Personal opinion but I prefer the Hawaii five O

Seems like a lot of phone for the money if this refresh deal works. The P10 should be released soon, so the general price for this should drop.

229 if you chose the 5GB per month plan

Love my P9. Great phone, have some heat.

can you just cancel the airtime then if you pay off the device plan?

Yes, pay off the device in full call them and cancel the airtime plan.

Internal Phone Memory 3GB + 32GB eMMC

any say if the handset is unlocked or locked to O2?

Lot of phone for the cash, almost paid 250 second hand!

awesome. I got my wife the lite version in Nov, very impressed but at the time I messed around with one of these, camera is insane... whole phone is fast, well worth the £250......

I got mine done for about £8 on eBay, code arrived within 24h. That was a Vodafone unlock though, as I wanted the red P9

qwertyowen2, cheapest deal is £229.99, so thread title should be changed to this.

Great deal, voted hot.

Deal doesnt add up. The 5gb tariff was £40 a month, its now £35 a month( the £120 off deal) for 24 months, which makes the whole deal cost £840.

edit... My bad I did not see the option to pay the £109 up front.

Although paying £25 a month is a bit steep, so the money you are saving on the handset is wiped out by the high tariff price.

Superb phone but freezing cold for any o2 refresh deal cos o2 are robbing b@st@rds if you arent careful. They tell you one thing than do the opposite.

o2 refresh deals should have a buyer be aware warning.

Jagsman411971, its 109.99 + 5x24 = £229.99 total

No airtime to pay, as you'll be cancelling immediately.

great phone, great price but I can't be bothered with the hassle of an o2 refresh cancel deal so will keep my p8 instead. If anywhere offers this phone for this money cash price I will jump on it.

Ahh, see it now. I have to say, it does make it a lot easier to see when you dont have your head up your ass:D

Oh. I am really tired of these O2 refresh deals. They take down your credit score and leave a mark on your file. They are not worth the risk.

Please put O2 refresh in the title when posting.

Sorry OP.

Smokin deal

I was going to get the P9 or the Honor 8 which is on offer at amazon at the moment but I found out today neither of them have an apt-x bluetooth chipset (gives near CD quality over bluetooth). Presumably because the huawei phones don't use Qualcomm processors. I currently have a Sony Z2 which has apt-x and I don't think I could go back to regular bluetooth audio streaming to my speakers.

No airtime to pay if you cancel immediately.
But if you want the phone unlocked you'll have to wait for O2 to register it (i'm returning an O2 phone which I received 7 days ago and it's STILL not registered to the network) and then wait for them to unlock it (which they say takes 7 days but some people are reporting it can take up to 3 weeks).

If you cancel after the 14 day cooling off period you'll have to give 30 days notice.

So budget for 2 months airtime in the cost of the phone; the cheapest I can see is the 1GB at £23/month deal - £18 of that is airtime (the other £5 is paying the rest of the cost of the phone after the £109.99 up front) so it could add about £36 onto the cost of the phone making it around £266.

Of course you might get lucky and get the phone unlocked inside the 14 day cooling off period. But you might not and it's best to allow for that.

Excellent phone, I have used mine since May and still love it. Cost me 4 euro's to unlock. Great deal.

how long does it take for the phone to be unlocked, do I have to insert the sim into the phone to unlock. As I don't want o2 to charge me for airtime.
if I dont want the phone unlocked can I cancel as soon as the phone arrives?

sorry for all the questions, just ordered and worried oO

Yes it does.

got this phone a few months back and there is one big niggle where it jumps around in certain apps when scrolling down a page...hukd being an example. its worth the money but there are a number of little annoying things. i thought the jumping around was a fault so i returned it and the replacement has the same issue

not that i've noticed but switching between this an the p3 as my daily drivers so not used it that long

O2 refresh deals are hit and miss. You could get one and have no problems at all (I know several people that have had no problems) but then on the other hand, they can completely shaft you, whether it's over charging, not cancelling properly or cancelling affecting your credit score. Not worth the hassle, in my opinion. If your up for the hassle and don't plan to get a mortgage soon, then not a bad deal.

Is there any keyboard lag on this?

I ask because I have the Honor 7 and it takes a second or so to pop the keyboard up, which is frustrating when comparing to the OP1 I replaced, which snaps it out instantly.
