Looks a decent price to me - have some heat
Looks a great option for those like me who really don't want a massive 5.5" phone! I ended up sourcing a Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro which is a great phone overall as well.

The p9 lite 2017 has band 20, which is useful, and gives it an advantage over the Xiaomi, but the battery is only ok at 3000mah, compared to the 4000mah battery in the Xiaomi.

Glad this didn't come up a few weeks ago or I'd have had a dilemma

Thanks, saw the p8 lite in CPW on sunday, single sim, 2gb ram, 16 rom @ 179 so was hunting for a better price and this is dual sim, 3gb ram & 32gb rom, which is a bonus and crazy cheap
what is the internal memory 16gb or 32gb? 32gb rom????

cold if 16GB

Great phone, had this for a year now and no issues, only 16g which can fill a bit quick. No updates though, probably won't get past android M (6) which is a blooming shame. Would still recommend though, awesome for this price.

Got a p8 lite 2017 has 3Gb ram
Does this have bands 2 and 4? Edit: I think that's 1700 and 1900 so no I want a phone like this with uk and us bands .
How can you call it global without all the major bands used worldwide?!

Is this a good price for this phone then? Likely to be available for less anytime soon? Asking as I want to purchase this before going away in March but really don't want to pay more than 100-110
Only if it was 32gb memory I would have bought this, still good price!heat added.
Solid phone, no faults with it at all coming up to 2 years old.

You can expand the memory with an SD card.
I've got a huawei phone Nd it's excellent. Admittedly it's the P10 light but I can't recommend these phones enough.

It has 16gb on the normal ((£185)) page and it *had* 32gb on the club email invite page link, seems that the 8 that were left have now been sold and updated with more, as it was sold out about 4 hours after I posted it, be interesting to see what happens as they had the original 10 and the delivery date has now changed to jan 28 - feb 9 from feb 7 - feb 17 days. I have messaged to ask for the last digit of the full model number as this seems to be the only difference between 16 & 32gb roms I can find.

How have you found the battery chris? Have you had any OTS's since last june on it? Guessing it will update as soon as it is connected.

Have you not got / put / tried nougat 7 on it yet with the update version VNS-L31C432B382 ? ((could end in 3 depending on model))

It's alright, It can just about 2 days with infrequent use but if I'm in bed watching Youtube vids and replying to Whatsapp messages it drains quite quickly. I did update it to Nougat and I wish I hadn't of bothered, it didn't need it. Not that it's running worse, but I just preferred the overall style of Marshmallow.

Android 7 is available for the P9 lite as my mother is running it on her EE branded phone. If you haven't got it, maybe your carrier hasn't released it for you yet? Maybe you can learn to de-brand and manually push the update?

Totally agree jp. Bought this for my mother a year ago expecting lots of issues coming from a Nexus 4. Apart from the first few days learning where Huawei had put things, no problems at all. Outstanding battery life also.

Probably overall the best android phone I have ever had but was the cheapest by quite a way. I paid £145 for the phone & £5 a month for my sim & performance wise nothing ever skips a beat. When I see Iphone X and the contract costs I have to double take every time.

Yes so is my mothers. Many don't realise that you can buy a PAYG EE phone and use it on Virgin.

Exactly, the iphone X can't compete with this FP reader or on battery life. The iphone 8 can't compete on screen or battery life. Huawei aren't good for updates but who cares when you can afford to replace one of these every year? I'm not saying this is better than flagship phones but you'd expect the flagships to be better than this in ALL areas.

You don't need to spend much for a great phone these days.

I would stretch the extra £30 for the Xiaomi Mi A1. 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, security updates direct from Google.

Am sim- free (giffgaff then Smarty) so not sure how I am missing update to M, any advice gratefully received! As far as I am aware there was an update released outside of carriers versions but recalled due to various problems, would love to get N if I can without flashing! 😁

With Huawei and updates, its about the vendor code. To give an example the device may have software version XXX-XXXC432B003. The C432 means its Huawei retail version and will always get the updates first. Even if your phone has been unlocked, it may have a different vendor code, and this vendor may have not released the update to N.

Marc, you will have to find your vendor code, then find if they have released an update, then learn how to manually flash if your device is not updating.
Guys is it safe to buy phones from gearbeast?
