Good price and really nice watch but bear in mind this watch won’t be getting the next Oreo update.
Good price.

I've been thinking about getting this for a wile. Its shame the w2 is so ugly!

Have a look at the W2 Classic Titanium Grey... I think it's nicer than the basic W2. Still not same appeal as the W1 though

Yes it won't get the Oreo update but I still think it's the best looking watch and it does everything I need it to do.
Very decent watch

I've previously owned the v1 and currently own the v2 and actually prefer the latter due to its additional features (GPS, Android Pay etc). It's actually much better looking in the flesh than the pictures suggest IMO.
Great watch. Had it for about a year now. Only issue is the charger. Sometimes you have to try a few times for it to start charging
Bought this about a month ago after considering verious options including the gear s3 and also the w2 classic.

This is a decent watch if you know what to expect from it. I bought knowing it has no NFC or GPS neither of which are important to me in a watch. I don't even use android pay on my phone so not going to miss NFC.

The main reason I wanted this was for easy access to notifications while at work, and without the watch looking out of place in my wrist like so many of the fugly options available.

The first thing I did out if the box was to swap out the leather strap for a stainless steel one for about a fiver on eBay, which makes the watch even classier imho, and once you have settled on a watch face (I've annoyed myself how many times I've changed it!) I settled on a face from the minimal and elegant app, and it's replaced my eco drive as my daily work watch.

Yes it only has the 2.0 update, and no Oreo, but it's a watch, it gives me notifications, and it looks nice. Especially with the 2.0 update it's made a good watch so much better. And get a day easily on a full charge. Would probably easily get 2 but charge it nightly. And wireless charging would have been nice but the magnetic charger does its job adequately for me.

Hope this helps anyone sitting on the fence about going for this.

Tempted, though the Huawei watch 2 sport is a tenner more. Any big differences between the two?

Quite a few. Amongst other things, W2 has GPS and NFC, but not sapphire glass.
I bought this watch a couple of months ago. It looks lovely, but be prepared to charge it every day. I ended up returning it. Heat for price tho.

I was considering the w2 like you but went for the w1 purely on the basis of looks. I guess it depends if NFC or GPS is important to you. The w1 is generally considered the best looking android wear device even now it's about 2 years old. And for me, it's mostly used as a watch or for notifications. After a fair bit of research, if I'd have gone for the w2, it would have only been the classic version.

Mine lasts about 2 days. I have disabled watch apps and services I dont use (eg step tracking heart beat etc).

Does it detect irregular heart beat?
