Are the specs on this better than the T3 10"?

I'm tempted by this but the resolution is only 800 x 1280 pixels.

Pretty good deal. Hmm this or a used Nexus 9 for about the same price...

Nexus 9 depending on the level of usage. Also be aware nexus 9 devices had screen bleed issues. I myself have returned 2 in past.

I've just come across the neocore E1 tablet which looks very decent

Ok - probably setting myself up for some serious trolling here - So how does this compare with Amazon's 8-inch Fire HD which was on offer for £49.99 during the Black Friday offer?

I had a Nexus 9 for a few months and would never consider buying another.
Mine had the notorious screen bleed plus the battery life was dire and after a few weeks it was so slow it needed resetting to speed it back up.
I would buy this Huawei if I had to choose between both.

Personally i looked at this tablet during black friday and chose the fireHD 8 mainly due to price but to be honest i am quite into amazons pocket now as i have multiple kindle books and video purchases with them so i would say if you have other amazon digital products get the Fire as its operating system is andriod with amazon UI over it but you can still get all the same apps etc if you are tech savvy. Hope i helped but this Huawei one is very good too

And that's the issue. If you are prepared to put up with Amazon taking over your tablet - even the home screen is an advertising screen - then, of course the Fire is better at the price. I'd rather pay a little bit more to get my life (or at least my screen) back .

The 10 inch T3 is just £119.99 from Amazon. Out of stock but available to order at this price. Depends on your needs, but I think, perhaps, the 10 inch is better value.

Edit: Just checked and the 10 inch has been down at £99.99 too - first 2 weeks in November. I think I'll hang on till it drops again.

Fair comment . . . Does that allow me to load Google play store? Or do I still have to go through the back door and side load it like previous Amazon tablets?

Side load it I think. I haven't done it yet but I've read it's very simple. I mainly got it for social media and web browsing with the odd Netflix thrown in so haven't needed play store as of yet as I don't do mobile gaming etc and all apps on play store I can just chuck on my s7 edge. Have found the screen delightful though for reading the odd kindle book too which I've found myself doing more as the screen is really nice.

Is it also splash resistant?

Lol just got it..

Root it and flash an android os. You will love it. You would miss Alexa though

Got the 10" for my old cousin same resolution as this, it seems fine.

Picked that up from Tesco during BF for £89

ha! #pervert

I got the 10" for £89 from Tesco for my sons birthday. I'm very impressed with it, very solid build quality, nice and fluid UI, runs apps with ease, great screen even if not HD. It's also got GPS whereas the Amazon tablets don't, kind of an issue if there's still people who want to play Pokemon Go or the new Harry Potter geocacheing game out next year.

On paper the nexus 9. In real world use, the nexus 9 is only good for one thing; the skip.

A nexus 7 2013 on the other hand blitzes both of these.

Thanks Vassy

Good find. Cheers!

Does anyone know, are you able to use the storage for apps? I need replacement tablets for our daughters, and need something with either larger storage, or capability to use a card for app storage (a couple of Lego apps and the storage is gone!)

The tablet is also this price on Very - which may be handy if you want time to pay or have a discount code you can use

Would this be an upgrade from an iPad air 1st gen? Thanks
