Huawei Watch 1 was the best designed android wear device. I have no idea why they decided to make it look like the LG G watch R for the sequel.

Heat for price.

Probably the best android wear watch I’ve used. We have a load of different smartwatches for testing at work and this one feels nice, has a long battery life and runs well. GPS and heart rate sensor too

A really nice Android Wear watch. My boyfriend has this and it is a lot nicer than his old moto 360.

This or the Samsung Gear s3?

This has a faster more battery efficient processor and nfc for android pay. Think this one the screen is slightly smaller. Anyway ticks all my boxes great price I got the 4g model on order now. Been looking for ever. Mines an upgrade from an LG G watch r, which wasn't waterproof enough (for my job) no nfc to pay. So I switched to a garmin which has been great but miss android wear.

Samsung is Tizen, this is android wear. I'd go for android wear all day long.
Just buy a decent strap from amazon and this is the best android watch out there.

That's been my dilemma. I wanted the Google play app store and android wear not Samsungs own software which is also good. Just think over time Samsung own software won't be as good for me. If it's just sports functions s3 seemed great but I want to link to my smart home, music and Google assistant.

Does this watch look really chunky on the wrist? Nice watch but concerned it may look really big.

Not at all, invest in a decent strap and you'll have one of the best looking smart watch. I use the following.

You will need to look at a YouTube video to gauge that. Basically they are all still a little chunky if your particularly small and it's mainly an issue for women in particular in my experience. It's a lot of technology to squeeze in and the battery.

Can I Download custom faces for this or am i limited the built in ones?

Same at argos

What kind of battery life are people getting on this?

I bought one a few weeks ago when it was at £210, but I was only getting around 8 hours before it went into battery saver mode, so I sent it back.

In comparison I have a 3 year old LG G Watch R that still lasts almost 2 days on a charge, with the same settings (although obviously it doesn't have NFC).

I'm not sure whether I just got a bad one - I don't want to return another if that's all I can expect.

Cheers.

Nice reduction

I've have the samsung gear s3 and the sony smartwactch and the gear is way better then the sony, its just works so well and great to use, it has sufficient apps and the only thing I probably miss on android wear was google voice. Gear wins hands down, trust me.

The reduction was actually from £210...

This watch is awesome. I have it since Prime day, well worth the investment!

Cheaper in Argos

You're comparing something that's not this...to something else that's not this...how is that relevant....to this?

Been looking a smart watch since I swapped iPhone for galaxy s8 and got rid of the Apple watch. What's this like in relation to that?

Could you tell me how long the battery lasted for you?

You can download custom faces mate

In a toss up between this and the Garmin 235 i have gone for the Garmin, not sure why mind you! Hopefully its not a major error. Am slightly sad to not have android wear but hey-ho.

Another 30 quid for the 4g version

Bought this with 20% off in the warehouse deal for £173 - would have waited if I'd have known it was new. In fairness it's still eligible for return but the warehouse item, despite being listed as used, was indistinguishable from new anyway.

Amazing watch. Truth be told I wouldn't have minded going for the Samsung but it's beyond rubbishthat it doesn't support Android Pay, I get they are pushing Samsung Pay which is all well and good until you discover bugger all banks actually support it in the UK.

I'm really happy with this watch though! Cracking bit of kit.

It does look chunky, because round displays are quite hard to make, and they require a large bezel. I would rather go far a square display, which gives you more usable space with much less bezel.

Unfortunately there are very few square faced smart watches.

This is a superb watch, my first was the G Watch R. I found the Huawei W1 looks very slick in comparison and always get comments from people. The GWR looked too "sporty".

Also way better build than LG. The paint on my G Watch R chipped off all over the place!

I want the looks of the W1 and functionality of the W1 otherwise I'm sticking with my W1.

Return it mate. Warehouse items are 30 days warranty.

This should have 2 years.

Me too :-). Loved my G Watch R since launch - still wear it daily, but this (LTE version) is leaps and bounds ahead on paper.
This sounds perfect for the running with always on HR, GPS and LTE. Gonna punish the battery, but sounds like it can take it.

Now I'm torn ordered a gear s3 for £200 ... if it had bixby i would be sold what should I do?

If you absolutely need a good personal assistant right now, then it's probably best to return the S3 and buy the LG W2. IMHO Samsung is working on developing Bixby and will probably release it to their smartwatches in 2018, along with the new S4 watch. So upgrade then.

Thank you for the advice I guess the most important thing is look with a watch really and the S3 is by far best looking. If Bixby is released on the s3 it would be the perfect watch for sure. Think I may keep it thank youn

Just remind Android Watch won't support new updates!

Am I the only to think that the style of this watch is horrible compared to the first one?
Even the S3 is too sporty...
What is missing in the first Huawei watch? As I really like that one and i really don't care about paying with my watch etc

Not sure this is worth the price tag. Similar specced AW2 watches are not that much more expensive, and this has the smallest screen size out of all of them.

Pretty sure he was talking about the design of the watch and I agree with him, but there's no doubt this has the better technology

What kind of battery life are people getting from this? Mine is only giving a day but reviews suggests it should last couple days at least
