Still not sure about this watch but a good discount in any case, I've been watching it for a while and it's not been this low so far. Anyone got an opinion on whether it's a good buy, I really want to get an Android Wear watch.

Wifi version is £209, also available 4G edition for £259, looks like today only for both watches.

Saw this and tempted. You do need a separate sim card and plan for the 4G version right?
I think that's right, I would just get the bluetooth version and link it to my phone, but I suppose some people would like to leave it at home and go without.

Reviews aren't great on this one

Not 'great' but 'good' a few 3/5's, lots of 7's 8's out of ten and 4/5's, one of those wait for sale ones...and here we are!

Yeah they seem to be mixed, it gets a lot of low reviews on the look and style of it, I do quite like that aspect as I currently have a Gshock so a similar type of styling... plus not too large on the wrist I think!
How good are Amazon for returning these if you don't like it after you've received it?
Does this do anything massively to set it apart from the V1?
This deal links to Gear S3, is this just on purpose? Anyway, it's true, HW2 is there as a deal on Amazon, you just have to search for it. I'd personally recommend it, here's my short review mark.reevoo.com/ree…CYS

Strange, it was correct earlier! I've updated it in any case, thanks for that . Cheers for the review link... is the display size a deal breaker? I'm thinking that as I haven't had a smart watch before it wouldn't be too big an issue, plus I have quite slim wrists!
Did anyone get one ? My HW1 needs a companion, but it shot up to £260 straight away !

Did you click the 'view offer' link on the right hand side of the page? Should change the price to £209.99. Going to order one today in any case, figure if I don't like the look of it I can return for a refund.

Hi mate, I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these like you said can return easily enough, I know it's personal preference but were you not swayed by the 4G version for total independence from phone, I'm thinking that could be handy when out running etc ?

Thanks guys Yep just did that and it worked, just ordered 1 Thats £600 spent on this bloody Prime day lol

I've had my Huawei 1 Stainless that I picked up last year on black Friday for £160, never been off my wrist since and 1000 free watchfaces downloaded later for Watchmaker, get a Stainless strap for it and you will not be dissapointed

The strap I bought was a tenner from Ebay and is the exact same as the £70 Huawei one

For me it's a no, if I'm out and about it's easy enough for me to have my phone in my inside pocket or rucksack and then I'd just use the watch on my wrist for notifications, etc. I'd effectively be using my phone as a portable hotspot when I'm on the move.

I can see the benefits for people who don't want to take their phone with them though, just not worth another £50 on the cost for me, the basic version is smart enough

The thing is the quality of the Stainless strap is amazing and for the price, it's not quite Omega or Tag Heuer what I have but for a tenner delivered in the UK, this is starter for you mate (Albeit Stainless HW1 is out of stock)

Happy hunting

Tempted split for choice 4G one or the Samsung s3 frontier any advice

Depends what you're looking for, if it's apps then the LG runs Android Wear which has a lot more in to choose from... the Samsung's running Tizen their own operating system, and pretty much every reviewer says that the one failing of this watch is that there are just not enough apps. It's worth doing a comparison though, if the Samsung has enough to suit you, then it's definitely a nice watch, quite big though.

Thanks for the link Just bought one, like I said if I don't like it will just send it back.

Ordered a screen protector as well amazon.co.uk/AFU…K95
Only gone and ordered the 4G version, I'm sure her indoors will love me when it turns up and blown £259 lol
4G Version of HW2 should be enough for anyone, my phone is hasdly off my belt clip since last year !

If you drive a lot the handsfree on the Huawei is brilliant, speaker is very loud, when your driving
and speaking you have not much chance of getting a pull by the old bill as your talking to your wrist lol

I don't advise messing about or reading notifications when you are driving, fiddling with a smartwatch is not easy
at any speed, at least wait until you are stopped, the Google voice works great also on the move !

My mate has an S3, the bezel on the HW2 which compares a little to the Tag Connected is what lured me !

The Chinese £100 watches i've tried from Amazon (3 of them) have all went back, I've waited a while for this price

Lets hope it's worth it, just a pityall the STUDENT10's have been suspended until after Prime day

Do you think the 4G version was abit overkill then for me to go with, I know it was 50 quid more but thought it future proofs myself that's all
Well that was a result ! I just clicked on cancel, in was in the packing process and reordered using STUDENT10

It is now working again and got it for £199 (Thats the strap paid for now also)

PS Bluetooth will be here for a long time yet, your watch is future proof

I've just ordered one too. I was on the edge as I'm a keen runner, I also ordered the Garmin Forerunner 235 (£175) earlier today, can't afford both so one will be going back. It all depends on how well the Huawei tracks me and how accurate the HR sensor is. In my head I'm thinking if it tracks well, gives me good accurate readings / data etc I've paid an extra £35 for a AW 2.0 smartwatch to replace my ageing / dying Moto 360 1st gen.
