Check geekbuying, I've been looking at the Ticwatch on there you can get it much cheaper and I'd recommend them after several purchases.

. ...New one coming so Huawei has asked Amazon to clear the stock so £85 is a possible price... I have proof I swear I can show the chat with Amazon agent... What a fun
Extra £16.50 off if you buy vouchers (£100 and £50 at 11% off) via Bupa Rewards.
Good price, but does say out of stock on the website, I guess local store might have stock though

Same decision I was pondering.

Ended up getting a Ticwatch E, had it a week and seems decent enough, think I'll manage without the NFC. Very light and comfortable, Wear 2 is much better, does feel a bit on the cheap side though.

However, what swung it for me was someone local selling a virtually new one for £80. £150+ for the Huawei Watch 2 is pushing what I wanted to spend.
If access to hsbc debit card you get 5% discount on top of quidco.

Great watch. Smaller than Samsung s3 which is feel is only drawback but I would imagine that is personal preference.
Was a great deal but sadly I've missed out on it. Out of stock
Great watch, well worth it.

I bought this on the Amazon £189 deal a while back and it's really good. NFC for Google Pay is amazing since you don't have to get your phone/wallet out. Ticwatch is good too (Mobvoi support seem really helpful and knowledgeable) and their products are decent but the lack of NFC made me go for the Huawei Watch 2. The design isn't the best though.
The deal finished. I got mine last week for £184 from Amazon uk

Personally I'd go for the Ticwatch, bigger screen and and just feels better, the Huawei has a really horrible, cheap feeling, in my opinion, strap and, I did get one of the Huawei watches from H Samuel but sent it back after comparing the two watches side by side.
I Have the Huawei watch 2 and i've not yet taken the plastic off the screen.
I was toying with sending it back but im warming to it.

The screen seems a tad too small which is ridiculous because the bezel is massive.

In my opinion if the Ticwatch was around £115 id have snapped it up (as it was on here not so long back).

The Huawei im wearing cost £165 from Amazon which is right on the cusp of what i think is reasonable.

The Huawei watch 2 looks far more premium than the all plastic Ticwatch IMO. I love the look the large bezel, I think it looks sporty and deffo helps protects the screen. It is made of ceramic which is an extremely tough scratch resistant material found normally only on high end watches. PS I'm pretty certain there is no plastic screen protector, I've not seen any on the Huwaei Watch 2's so far!

Yes, the watch strap does look a little cheap, easily fixed with a black metal bracelet band. This is the same for most smartwatches.
I've been using mine for the last week or so and impressed with the functionality. Only problem I have is that the display doesn't lit up when my shake my wrist, I physically have to press a button to see the time.

Checked all settings and can't find any specific control to turn this feature on... Anyone any idea?

It's not meant to go on when you shake your wrist otherwise that would waste the battery. If you go to Settings > Gestures and turn on "Tilt to wake" and "touch to wake" and "wrist gestures" if you want (there is a tutorial for this).

Then as you go to view your watch towards your face it will turn on. Much better than the Fitbit tilt to wake (which never worked well for me).

This saves battery power as the screen is only on when you're looking at it (99% of the time!)
