159 quid is the cheapest recently. This is the non 4G version else it would be a bargain

Which is fair enough, but you left yourself open to criticism with "best... ever...".
A watch like this goes on sale for maybe 2 years and is then superseded. Updates will stop coming a year or two after last purchase. Consequently the price should slip steadily over time with small rallies along the way. Why anyone would buy at a rally price is beyond me.

It has been getting updates. I own the 4g version am happy, I guess people will buy as they will be looking for an android wear watch, that has android pay, they like the circular face it has wifi and GPS plus can store music. You say rally. I say supply and demand. It's briefly been cheaper by being subsidised by ebay global offer true. But for people looking now it's a very strong option at a very fair price. Why anyone would wait long if looking for something like this when later a new model will eventually come out and you will have that dilemma.
Thank you. Spent more money I don't have.
I'd personally go for the Huawei w1 if you can get it in offer at Amazon, and if you can live without NFC and GPS.

I picked one up from Amazon last year for £179, and put in a metal strap for £6 on eBay, and it looks lovely.

The w1 usually goes for around the £240 mark, but regularly drops to £179.

The W1 also has a bigger screen than this, with sapphire glass, but without a big bezel like this one is no bigger overall really.

Mine updated to Android wear 2.0 out of the biz, and has recently been updated to 2.8 which is pretty much the same as 2.0 but with darker menu and notification backgrounds to make reading them easier, and is buttery smooth (once you turn off the Google now listening as this uses so much resources).

Battery life is pretty good too. On light usage today took off charge at about 10am, and currently on 85% battery.

Love mine, wouldn't be without it now.

The 4G version is amazing. I love having a watch phone.
OOS just about to pull the trigger on one, and now all gone.
Mine arrived today. Well packages but box has a few indents and crushed corners. Open box and watch has fingerprints on it. Are these ex-display? Anyone else get the same feeling
almost everything h-samuel sell is like that, all returns sold as new. scam company

I got the watch 2 4g on a lightning deal from amazon but had to send it back. I'm with barclays so android pay is useless for me, it wasn't telling me when I had notifications I had to physically look for them and not the phones fault but I didn't realise you couldn't download apps like whatsapp or Facebook unless someone knows different?
